Guest guest
Hi, my name is and I just joined your group last night. Thank you for having me. I just now noticed the first signs of Lyme's yesterday when I got a a rash on my upper arm. I stated in my first email, we have been pulling ticks off of us a lot lately. So it is entirely possible it is Lyme's. After googling Lyme's (and seeing a youtube)I have terrible foresight about what I may be in for. I am really afraid of what is in my body now. I watched my mom suffer for years with severe rhematoid arthritis that lead to lupus and her early death at age 50. She was an invalid and I sure hope to avoid that as I have four young children. Does anybody know of a good dr. in the Kansas city area who knows how to diagnose and treat Lyme's disease? Can anyone tell me if a Lyme's rash is suppose to be painful? This rash I have is sore, kind of feels like a bruise or stinging feeling. It is warm to the touch. It doesn't exactly look like a bullseye. Okay, I guess I'm trying to be in denial. It's kind of looking like a crescent or C. The outer edge is definitley more red then the inside but there is redness all thru out the rash. I wish it was a harmless type of spider bite, but it's probably Lyme's. If it is I would like to get treatment started early, only I don't know what kind to take. I'm going to order Dr. Burnam book as soon as I can. I need to read the book but until I get it can anyone help me with this? Because I am at a loss. Do I take antibiotics for the 30 days as recommended by the CDC or the herbal microbials Samento and Cumanda that Suzanne Arthur talks about on her site? I believe it may be Bunher's protocol. I know many of you probably are already familiar with that LDRD site as it has a lot of good info on it. I see quotes from Bunher thru out her website. I have to say I am so scared, and the more I read, the more terrified I am becoming. For instance just while writing this post, I read a few more articles on the LDRD site and found that they believe Lyme's disease can be sexually transmitted. And transmitted to a baby in the womb as well. I guess I'm wanting to know if anyone can share their experience and how they're method is helping. Especially those who were diagnosed early and started on some kind of treatment right away. This article has me confused. http://www.lyme-disease-research- database.com/antibioticslymedisease1.html And then here is a little excert from another one of her articles. She is quoting from Buhner's book. It says: As Buhner says in his book, Healing Lyme: Natural Healing and Prevention of Lyme Borreliosis and Its Coinfections, at this point given our knowledge about the disease, antibiotics are probably the best choice for killing spirochetes. Yet the complexities of the disease often call for a complex approach to treatment, not a one- size-fits-all campaign. Herbs, vitamin therapy and other natural healing protocol are popular subjects among the Lyme population, who know first-hand that antibiotics can, and often do fail in treating Lyme disease and its coinfections. He says antibiotics here, but don't know if this is how he still thinks. I have read so much negative about antibiotics especially linked to Lyme's. I don't know what to do!!! I read someone's review of the book on amazon and she says: " Excellent book for those wanting to avoid or add to their antibiotics protocol. Very comprehensive. I can attest to the fact the herbs do in fact work. " So that gives me hope. But also makes me think maybe I would be better off avoiding antibiotics altogether. Thank you so much for reading my post. If anyone has any encouragement or words of wisdom, I would be so grateful to hear it. Also, I've been writing this in my email to paste here. Right before I jumped over to to post this, I took a glance at the last post before mine in regard to herbal protocol.(by Robin) I'm sorry if I'm asking the same questions, and haven't researched your answers here on the site long enough. I'm just a little panicky, and needed to vent to people who have been where I am. Thanks for listening. Blessings in your health to each of you,
