Guest guest
Hi - I had the same reaction, for it's all over New England. For me, it's been: Ask and you shall receive. Someone was very happy to dig up about 8 plants for me. They had a bunch growing around their front & back porches, as well as in their backyard. I use some loppers to cut the roots [the main one is thicker than a thumb] and then peel it with a knife, but my sister thinks it could just be cleaned with a stiff brush. I put a handful of the roots in about a qt. of water and simmer for a while. It has an amber color. Fighting an invasive bacteria with an invasive plant! Perfect!
