Guest guest
P.S.: I just read that last year scientists discovered a possible explanation for the antibacterial (and antiviral) action of andrographis paniculata and a few other Chinese herbs: andrographolide (the main active component) blocks quorum sensing, similar to the action of garlic. Quorum sensing is the intra-bacterial language that is important for them for working together, e.g. when targeting the host or the immune system, making / maintaining biofilms, shifting into other pleomorphic forms, etc. AFAIK it is not yet proven that Borrelia uses quorum sensing, but it seems to have all the required equipment for it. So this discovery seems to support the use of andrographis for Lyme disease.
