Guest guest
I've heard quite a few people say that andrographis gave them head to toe hives/rashes and it took up to a month to go away. Maybe that's why it was removed. I am going to start the buhner herbs, adding andrographis last, do people start the protocol taking all the herbs together and slowly building up, or do people take one for a few days, then add another, etc? Without getting rid of that stuff (if you have it), you don't fully get well, even when Lyme, babesia, bartonella, and ehrlichiosis have been dealt with. > > They are actually the same, although I found it very confusing on first > reading. Guest guest
Hi... I've started the protocol one herb at a time. Added the andrographis last. Have been doing everything v e r y slowly due to being so sensitive. This is what I would recommend. Ease and peace, yarrow > > > > They are actually the same, although I found it very confusing on first > > reading. Guest guest
Do you have the book? It has suggestions about how to start in there. IMO, you def. want to go one at a time. That way you can see what's happening, and if you DO get hives, you know what it was from. Also need to be aware of contraindications and such - just b/c they are herbs, doesn't mean they aren't medications I am going to start the buhner herbs, adding andrographis last, do people start the protocol taking all the herbs together and slowly building up, or do people take one for a few days, then add another, etc? _________________________________________________________________ Hotmail is redefining busy with tools for the New Busy. Buhner says only about 1% of users get this allergic reaction though. > I am going to start the buhner herbs, adding andrographis last, do people > start the protocol taking all the herbs together and slowly building up, > or do people take one for a few days, then add another, etc? I think it is best to take the last approach, and add one herb at a time. If you run into trouble this makes it easier to pinpoint the cause. Guest guest
I just jumped in after reading the book, taking small doses of everything at once and then ramping up. But after reading a lot of posts here, I can see why you wouldn't. I recommend caution, however, on rejecting an herb because it makes you feel bad. I firmly believe that some people do have real allergies and need to stop the herbs that aggravate them, but I found that even taking sarsaparilla I had such bad herxes at a few points that I thought I might die. I followed advice of people here, taking antihistamines and especially drinking lots of water with fresh lemon juice added, and eventually the dire state passed. Just reread that and now want to say, don't be foolhardy, if your health is shaky to begin with, don't take chances that could risk your life! I had a lot of pain and had a lot of paranoia (to the point where it had threatened all my relationships) before I did the protocol, but other than a small heart murmur I didn't have any life-threatening conditions. If you do, you need to be way more cautious than I was. I was desperate to get well! Years later, I still take teasel tincture, andrographis, resveratrol and eleuthero in very small quantities every day, and occasionally I take a few capsules of cat's claw. I also take Devil's claw and turmeric/bromelain for my joints, along with other supplements. I'm doing well both with my mental and physical symptoms. Most days. I'm very lucky! I wish everyone else the same. Wisser > > I've heard quite a few people say that andrographis gave them head to toe > hives/rashes and it took up to a month to go away. Guest guest
I used andrographis for months before I got a very mild rash and decided to stop. I reintroduced it and got the rash again so decided I had developed a sensitivity to it. I felt intuitively that it was an important part of the protocol for me though. The rash was mild, only on my chest, and cheared very quickly, within a couple of days. Buhner said in a presentation that occasionally someone will have a rash that lasts up to a month (that may be where the month idea came from, but that was not my experience. jo > > I've heard quite a few people say that andrographis gave them head to toe > hives/rashes and it took up to a month to go away. Guest guest
I had an andrographis rash too although a took a couple of months to build up. Eventually it was all across my chest and all down the back. Not at all itchy but looked and felt pretty bad when I ran my hands over it. It took 4-6 weeks of coming off it for the rash to go. I have more left so may re-introduce it sometime in the future to try again. Maybe those of us who are sensitive can do a pulse method i.e. 2 weeks on & 2 weeks off? > > > > I've heard quite a few people say that andrographis gave them head to toe > > hives/rashes and it took up to a month to go away. >
