Guest guest
WHAT source are you talking about at $24 an ounce? I bought some from MyVitaNet and another that I can't remember as it was about 18 months ago. make my own now. Guest guest
I get a 2-oz bottle of Teasel root extract, 50% alcohol, from Jean's Greens in New York state, for about $16 I think. -- purplffoxglove susan2health <susan2health@...> wrote: I want to start Buhner protocol, but I want to get my lymph system moving and neurotoxins down before I add more toxins. Guest guest
That's a great idea to make one's own tincture. Teasel, (Dispsacus sylvestris) does grow in northeast woodland areas where I live. --purplffoxglove " R. Bayliss " <jbbigrod@...> wrote: WHAT source are you talking about at $24 an ounce? Guest guest
: My goodness, I can hardly believe THOSE kind of prices. Is the bottle made of GOLD or what? That sounds like a ripoff to me. I could not and WOULD not even think of those kind of prices. That is nuts in MY estimation. MyVitaNet is not the cheapest, but I am pretty sure I got my Red Root tincture From them in the beginning. They are part of a chiropractors office. I bought two bottles of it, and am still using the bottles/droppers for the stuff I make from the bulk that I bought from 1st Chinese Herbs. IF I were YOU, I would call at 1st Chinese Herbs on their 800 line and see IF they can help you also. is VERY helpful, and usually IF she doesn't know the answer to your questions, she WILL find out. There are some people in this country that are really, really nice to deal with, SHE is one of them. I also like dealing with the people at Nutrition Wholesale. I get my C-Salts from them. They have other supplements, but I just buy my C-Salts there. Buhner strongly recommends them. I just called them a few minutes ago and ordered another large bottle of the C-Salts. There ARE other people out there who are very nice to deal with, but these are some I have most experience with. Although 1st Chinese is growing by leaps and bounds, they haven't grown so much as to not appreciate their customers and treat them well. I have not ordered Stephania tincture from anyone. I just bought it in bulk in the beginning from 1st Chinese, Plum Flower Brand, in powder, and encapsulated my own. Then this year I bought the Plum Flower Brand in cut and sifted version, and made a tincture that I am using now. I think eventually I will go back to the encapsulated powder. So I can't help you on a tincture of that, but I know for myself, I would NEVER pay $24 for a ONE ounce bottle of it. Guest guest
HEY everyone, I just Googled MyVitaNet and went to the site. I hadn't been there for a long time. GUESS WHAT, they have empty capsules at a VERY good price. They are made by NOW Foods, and they have both Veggie Caps and Gelatin Caps. Gelatin Caps are cheaper, but I use Veggie Caps exclusively. I just feel better about it. Plus their Red Root tincture is $5.13 for a one ounce bottle. ALSO, they give FREE shipping on orders over $50.00. IF you order it by UPS Ground. That all seems much better than when I ordered from them over a year ago. I will probably get my next Gel Caps from them and see how I like it. Wish they had Stephania Root, but they don't that I can see. I found it the past IF they have it in stock they ship fast, but IF they don't, it may take two weeks to get your product. So you will have to play it by ear, and order accordingly. Well, got to get going here, and get my Response in the the Divorce court. Maybe back on here tonight. Guest guest
hello, susan, sounds like a good strategy to start with supporting your lymph and detox. are you also taking smilax for detox support? and milk thistle for liver? as i understand it, in general, the cost of taking tinctures at the very high doses required for this protocol is very very expensive. that is part of why buhner recommends taking most of the herbs as whole herb powders in capsules. take a look at www.iherb.com as a source for many brands at big discounts. i use http://www.iherb.com/ProductDetails.aspx?c=1 & pid=5333 & at=0 Eclectic Institute, Red Root, 2 fl oz (60 ml) SRP: $20.00 Our price: $9.00 Savings of: $11.00(55.00 %) for stephania, i have never used tincture. i use the stephania extract called Inflammation Control along with some of the whole herb powder i cap myself from Plum Flower brand. blessings on your journey, kendra -----Original Message----- From: [mailto: ]On Behalf Of susan2health I want to start Buhner protocol, but I want to get my lymph system moving and neurotoxins down before I add more toxins. Guest guest
, I think Kendra said it all. Tinctures are usually MUCH more expensive, so if you're on a smaller budget, I would start with whole herbs (encapsulate by yourself) and prepare the tinctures that you can by yourself either. Why someone here doesn't open a small internet shop and do tinctures for smaller price for lyme patients ?? The person who does has to earn a bit, of course, to pay for his/ her work, but could try to profit less than usual businesses... Just an idea ? It could help everyone! Guest guest
Thank you all for your kind responsiveness to me. I ordered a few tinctures, and I will order some bulk herbs from 1st Chinese. Jim, Kendra, and Selma--you have all helped/emailed me in the past, and I greatly appreciate it. Selma, I loved your post about kinesiology. I'm finally learning to listen to my gut/heart about what is good for me. A saying from an old manuscript keeps coming to my mind: " The leaves of the tree will be for the healing of the nations. " I feel very encouraged that healing is within my grasp. With gratefulness and fondness in my heart for you all, > > > --------------------------------- > Choose the right car based on your needs. Guest guest
PS: SELMA, I don't think it would be very smart to do that either. Especially IF you did it at a very low markup. As you have the responsibility of any problems that you could get blamed for if a person gets sick, even IF it is not your fault. Guest guest
A one ounce bottle of Red Root tincture is only $5.13 from MyVitaNet. They have FREE shipping on orders over $50 by UPS ground. Don't know about the other tinctures. Try capsules for the Stephania. Never tried Teasel, don't know IF MyVitaNet has it or not. Somebody HAS to have it a lot cheaper than $24 an ounce.
