I suggest trying the Buner herbs and see if that helps. I got over a year ABX myself with little result (spiro's still visible after that, tested positive with Western Blot as well). I had better results with Buhner, but I'm still ill. Regarding the rash/bruise: I had a similar rash. It was on my ankle, size about 4 cm (below the 5 cm treshold, so according to my duck it was definitely not important - i dind't know better then). My rash appeared shortly after a tick byte and looked more like a bruise with a well defined border (instead of a 'soft' border as with a normal bruise). Very dark red color that turned into purple/brown after some weeks. It remained visible for about 2 months and then slowly faded. My 'bruise' was not on the spot where I was bitten, so I cannot be 100% sure that it was an EM. However, I tested positive for Bb several times after that and never tested positive for the other coinfections. There are some reports in the literature about 'mini-EM' that is below 5 cm size and usually looks like this (without the 'central clearance' of the standard EM). I guess there are more EM's like this but the ducks don't report them. regarding the Plaquenil: this sounds counterintuitive, contrary to common experience. My guess is that these results are not valid because the research was done in vitro. I hope they find out what exactly is going on there. Guest guest
Her " bruise " also never had a tick on it, which is why I assumed it was a spider bite. Had it been a real bruise, it would have been extremely painful (it had a very " angry " look to it), yet poking and prodding it elicited no pain. I even looked over her whole body wondering if she suddenly had some sort of bleeding disorder. I know the plaquenil was supposed to change the ph and allow the zithromax to be more effective. So, we'll see what develops (research)... I'm relieved she's off the abx and definitely continuing with Buhner herbs (over 2 months now). Hope your recovery has more steps forward than back, Aviva On May 11, 2010, at 2:42 PM, knot_weed wrote: > > > > > > > Knot Weed, > > Years before, she had a typical EM rash and was treated for 2 weeks > > with amoxi. I'm sure I would have noticed an event that caused such an obvious 'bruise' as it was on a very sensitive area. But it was not painful at all, it just looked very weird. Doctors should really take note of these kinds of 'bruises'. > I even looked over her whole body > wondering if she suddenly had some sort of bleeding disorder. I can imagine - but examples that I have seen of bleeding disorders usually cause irregular spots that are more bluish and not the red/purple color. I hope you find/keep the right track to recovery with your daughter.
