I have a free computer cd of information from the Lyme Community I have

collected for the last 3 years. You can download or get a copy mailed to

you. See my website.

You can lead a person to a fact, but you can't make them think! -

[ ] Looking at Buhner Protocol...

I am a sixty year old woman and have been disabled for twelve years for

fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. I just had a result of 20 on the CD-57,

and results suggesting Lyme Disease on a checklist. My doctor (who I have

seen for about ten years) is considering Chronic Lyme Disease as a possible

diagnosis.

I have had pulmonary emboli and have a history of anaphlactic reactions to

various antibiotics which makes long term antibiotics a questionable

treatment.

Right now, I am very scared and very confused. I have read about the

politics of chronic lyme disease and know that most medical people are

disbelievers. I am scared that antibiotics are the only way to " get well "

and they may not be an option for me. I am also concerned that I now have a

shred of hope that I might feel better and it will be dashed. I thought I

was used to chronic pain and feeling awful but I guess I am not.

I was finished a Ph.D. in Child Psych/School Psych when I became ill. My

brains are now mush.

I read about Buhner in another online site and am anxious to hear what you

all have to say.

I recommend you do the Buhner Protocol. I have been on it for 10

months, up to 48 pills a day and I feel much better. I had to take a

lot of supplements too in the beginning because I was depleted in so

many nutrients. At the end of one year on the Buhner herbs I will get

tested again and see how I have done. If I'm not all “cured” I may

try IV antibiotic treatment. Hope this gives you some help.

Thanks .I am seriously considering it. I wish he was still

available for visits! I guess I will need to get another test. It

sounds like the one I had just isn't conclusive. I have an Internist

that is such a good person. We asked her about this about six month

ago and she actually went someplace and spent a week to learn. I know

it doesn't count as a " major " thing but she is so open.

Dear ,

Welcome to the Buhner group. There are many people here who choose to treat

without antibiotics, each for their own reason.

Working with " scared and confused " can be a good place to start. I think we all

feel this way sometimes. Personally, i find having a meditation practice very

helpful.....for me it is more helpful than any herb or food or medication. It

helps the body/mind relax and to have the clarity to make decisions.

If I'm not able to sit up to meditate, I lie down, which is fine.

Another helpful thing besides meditation is deep relaxation.

You might want to search the archives to see what some people have done to get

help in terms of herbs and supplements.

After many years of CFIDS/M.E. diagnosis, I've been diagnosed with babesia and

lyme disease. My LLMD wants me to treat the babesia first. Each practitioner

is different. Right now i'm only using herbs to treat.

This is the first time i've had any real guidance other than my own in

treatment.

May you feel supported in your healing journey....and may you be gentle with

yourself.

Peace and ease,

yarrow
