Guest guest
With the constant headaches, I would have to ask if she has been treated for babesiosis. I have taken my daughter, now 11, off antibiotics twice. Had to go back to treatment. She has been treated now since she was 4 1/2. Hopefully, you have entered the " cured " category!!! I am now taking conventional antibiotics along with the herbs, since I want to make sure to knock it out of my system and read that they work well together. I hope this helps. Everyone is different, but it was truly surprising when I passed the 6 month marker and felt so much better. Good luck. Guest guest
If you want to stop antibiotics, you might consider replacing them with colloidal silver (CS) as a natural antimicrobial. Many people herx from so it does kill if it can reach the bugs in the blood system. The problem with abx that they don't get deep into the tissues when the bugs reside. They have to be flushed out - rife machines do this. The other consideration with abx is whether the bugs encyst and then come out after the abx are stopped. Some people start CS two weeks before stopping abx so that there is something else in place when the cysts return to active form. deb > > > My 11 year old daughter has been on Buhner herbs for 2 months now > > along with 3 antibiotics (15 months). There has been no change in her symptoms (constant low-grade headache and general myalgia) for many months and I am finally STOPPING her abx (last dose 5/9). are you sure that Borrelia is the problem, and not a coinfection or something else? These symptoms are not typical of Lyme IMHO (could be Lyme but also many other things, including non-infectuous causes).
Guest guest
You might want to give Quintessence by BioPure US a try. It is a concentrated herbal tincture of all the Buhner herbs in drop form. I've been through the swallowing tons of pills via Buhner protocol and the drops are not only stronger but a welcome relief from pills. http://stores.homestead.com/BiopureHealingProducts/Detail.bok?no=43 Sea salt/c is another option. Also Allicin (extract from garlic) people have good results from, there is a liquid kind my mom uses thats suppose to be extra potent. Mangosteen pericarp is the rind from mangosteen fruit, sugarless and very potent natural antibiotic. I get it from Faro: http://www.farocompany.com/mangosteen-capsule-pills.html Dr Cowden's drops, especially Burbur, Cumanda, Huttuynia, and Banderol. > > > > > My 11 year old daughter has been on Buhner herbs for 2 months now > > > along with 3 antibiotics (15 months). Guest guest
Has your daughter's doctor has a metabolic comprehensive panel done to make sure her electrolytes are ok? Potassium, calcium, magnesium, sodium? Low mag/cal/pot can add to headaches and cause myalgia. Although, I had severe migraines and myalgia for some time from lyme/bart even while treating it sometimes. I do not have babs. Also had myalgia can be from low pot or mag. Another thing to check: mercury can cause headaches. Has her doctor checked metal levels? Since she is young, I would not recommend doing a " heavy metal challenge " if your doc says to.. if her metals are significant it can stir it all up and make her feel horrible (someone I know with an autistic child did this with their doc and had that happen). Testing without a challenge seems safer in the beginning. Then after chelating a while a challenge works better without side effects. r+lipoic acid taken every 4 hours (except while sleeping) is a gentle beginning chelator along with chlorella and not harmful.. if she tries the chlorella and r+lipoic acid for a while and her headaches diminish.. bingo: mercury/metals. Then people work up to using lipsome EDTA and DMSA which are stronger chelators. Athena > > > > My 11 year old daughter has been on Buhner herbs for 2 months now along with 3 antibiotics (15 months). Guest guest
Headache could be Babesia or Bartonella... Fatigue common with Babesia. Any night sweats? deb > > > > My 11 year old daughter has been on Buhner herbs for 2 months now along with 3 antibiotics (15 months). Guest guest
Chlorella is not for everyone - I've read that a good portion of the population cannot tolerate it (causes nausea and vomiting) and I know of two people on these groups who mentioned this happening to them. I personally like it and have no trouble with it. deb > > > > > > My 11 year old daughter has been on Buhner herbs for 2 months now along with 3 antibiotics (15 months). Guest guest
> my major question was if you are sure that it is Borrelia infection: was that proven by an EM appearing after tick byte, or with a positive outcome from a reliable test (like a Western Blot from a good lab, or PCR test; I consider all tests unreliable, including the positive ones). You cannot diagnose Lyme just based on some general symptoms, not even if there is a tick byte history. There is too much symptom overlap with many other infections and other medical issues. Only a few symptoms (EM, certain neuro symptoms, Bannwarth syndrome/radiculitis, classical ACA presentation) are pretty specific for Lyme. > I am a bit concerned about any biofilms, if she has them. I think everyone with untreated Borrelia infection older than a few months has biofilms and similar protective structures, e.g. in de collagen tissues, in the arteries, in the joints. Guest guest
Chlorella is very high in oxygen which can kill candida, are you sure they weren't feeling nauseous/headache from yeast die off? New to me! I take it a never had a problem. Another worthwhile natural abx is lauricidin. Very strong, but very helpful. There's scientific studies showing it has action against some of both gram negative and gram positive bacteria. Bartonella is gram negative. > > > > > > > > My 11 year old daughter has been on Buhner herbs for 2 months now along with 3 antibiotics (15 months). Guest guest
> > > > Chlorella is very high in oxygen which can kill candida, are you sure they weren't feeling nauseous/headache from yeast die off? really? never heard that and it sounds unlikely to me. Where/how does it store oxygen in relevant quantity?? I think the nausea is more likely to be result of toxins (or pyrogens, causing feverish reactions) in the chlorella. Some people are sensitive to these, and the content can vary strongly depending on brand, harvesting etc. But most people can get used to this, if you start slowly and gradually build up there should be no problem. > Another worthwhile natural abx is lauricidin. Very strong, but very helpful. There's scientific studies showing it has action against some of both gram negative and gram positive bacteria. Bartonella is gram negative. yes, this is an interesting option (although I don't know any studies that prove that it really helps). Virgin coconut oil has a high lauricidin content (for those who prefer natural products over processed stuff).
Guest guest
I checked and found this web site about the chlorella intolerance although there are probably others. This page has other good info. http://www.vitaminguineapig.com/page29.php Also some discussion about the nausea and vomiting some people experience: http://community.naturalnews.com/forums/p/354/937.aspx deb > > > > Chlorella is very high in oxygen which can kill candida, are you sure they weren't feeling nauseous/headache from yeast die off? >
Guest guest
I thought lauricidin was an antiviral rather than an antibiotic???? If memory serves, my doc has recommended it for epstein barr. jo > > I have some Lauricidin. Not expensive & I herx from it. I haven't herxed from my antibiotics since December but I herx from Lauricidin.
