Good Morning Jacqi

I take Cats Claw ....I get it from my Docs office but you can go to

_www.allergyresearchgroup.com_ (http://www.allergyresearchgroup.com) ..its on

the

bottle. You just have to make sure YOUR DOC knows that you want to try it

.....as I CAN and DOES cause herxheimer reactions. You also want to make sure

you

get Cats Claw that is TAO FREE ....and no ...I don't know what that means ?ha

! MY bottle says 'PRIMA UNA de Gato' and it just says its a suppliment. If

you can get ahold of a copy of ALTERNATIVES Newspaper there is a super great

article in it re the use of Cats Claw for Lyme. It was written by

Dr. who also has a website regarding his suppliments ..anyway

.....you can

order archives from this paper you can call toll free 1-800-718-9293. You can

also get free email dispatches at drdavidwilliams.com ..but its the DEC 2004

issue that has this mind blowing story entitled THE NEW GREAT IMPOSTER ....I

think it may be one of the best articles I have ever read .....I am not sure

how much it costs to get a copy because my LLMD gave it to me. BUT TRY if you

can ..because it will really open your eyes. Take care ...Kat ps ..I would

never take anything that my LLMD did not approve of ...

Hi Jacqi,

The Samento (cat's claw) I bought comes as a tincture in a dropper bottle.

I bought it from vrp.com, a very good company with high quality products.

I'd read a lot about it on the Lyme and Rife group and here. Then my doctor

recommended I try it and suggested that company.

Good luck,

Deanna

You can get the same in a capsule form ...the most important thing is you

get one without TAOs ..it will say on the bottle. Again , I would talk to your

LLMD first, before adding anything to his orders. I have seen the tincture

form and I also hear it works well , but I am so sick of putting liquid of

foreign substance into my body that gags me I just can't do it anymore ! BUT

that

is just me ! I remember being 5 and having my grandmother chase me around

the house to get me to take a pink antibiotic after my teeth got knocked out

......like it was YESTERDAY ...I think I was traumatized !!! heeeheee ! I SWEAR !

Good luck ...K

Wow, here's something ironic. heh. Your question reminded me of how I

suspect it was my cat who clawed me that gave me lyme in the first place.

heh

I had a cat who had lyme disease, and gave her a lyme dip solution that

the veterinarian gave me.

Jacqi, I think someone already answered your question, but it's a

supplement that you can get at the healthstore... I have heard that there

are different variations though, and strengths. I took a generic, and never

felt a thing happen, but that doesn't mean anything...as I only did that for

a month.

Take care,

christina

Morning Jacqi

Many people actually fly here from other states to see my doc. How far away

are you from IL or MI ? You need ONE !!!

Thanks to all who answered my question on cats claw.

I do not have a LLMD as of yet, I saw a doc about 5 years ago that gave me

two weeks worth of Tx and said I was cured. Of course I have had Lyme since

I was 6, actually got it in Lyme CT, and now I am 36...but I am cured...

yeah, ok then.

I am looking for a LLMD but it HAS to be in Indiana, so the search continues

.....

Thanks again for answering my question!

I have tried many places over the last couple years, but have settled on 1st

Chinese Herbs. Buhner recommends them for many of the herbs. I find they have

come to handle all the herbs needed in his protocols. I don't think just ONE

herb will help you that much though. I take about 8 to 10 different herbs or

more, in any given day. I don't take Cat's Claw anymore. I quit a few months

ago. I do still have some, and may take some again in the future but don't for

now. I also don't take Andrographis right now.

Talk to at 1st Chinese on their 800 line, she is very helpful.

If you want them ready made, I think they have that too, as does Vita Cost, My

VitaNet, Herbs-Wholesale, etc..

Jim.

I don't think homeopathic dosages like these can be hard on the liver.

When taking 10-20 grams CC a day it is another story. In that case it is

probably best to take a break after some months, or have your liver enzymes

checked regularly (especially for those who also use antibiotics or other stuff

that is hard on the liver).

I have been using the protocol (Rain Forest Cats Claw, Japanese Knotwood and

Andrographis)  for about 3 months as well as Boluoke (Lumbokinase) for about one

month and have seen significant improvement until 8 days ago.

At that time I increased my dose of Cats Claw from 4,000 mg to 4,500 mg and I am

now feeling very lousy. I changed nothing else.  Buhner writes that Cats Claw is

an immune potentiator as well as modulator. Perhaps I am now at too high a dose

for me?  Cowder writes that the effective dosage varies markedly from patient to

patient.  Has anybody had a similar experience?

Much obliged,

Ross

Similar thing happened with my daughter and her LLMD recommended lowering

cat's claw. Besides feeling foggy she had difficulty breathing (air hunger)

and both symptoms went away with lower dose. More sasparilla, epsom salt

soaks and lots of water helped two.

We also face the question on how to decide the need to raise the doses. Does

anyone know if the Buhner protocol can be adjusted for weight?

yes, it should be weight adjusted (especially for children). Buhner has some

guidelines in the book (don't remember the details). However, the most important

part is listening to your body. There seem to be big differences in what some

people need for good effect, or what they can handle.
