Knotweed,

I agree that its not typical lyme, but children with lyme do present

with long-term headaches. That's why I'm hoping that she doesn't

worsen off the abx. Who knows, maybe the abx have been causing her

pain(???-wishful thinking!) Today is her first day completely off...

I am a bit concerned about any biofilms, if she has them. I saw them

at the conference. Shocking and depressing.

Thank you so much for your response,

Aviva

Hasn't had fatigue since last spring (2009). No night sweats.

Knot Weed,

Years before, she had a typical EM rash and was treated for 2 weeks

with amoxi. One month before her symptoms, she had a strange purplish

4 cm diam. " rash " (looked more like a bruise, but not quite) on her

knee that I wrote off as a spider bite. When her symptoms appeared,

she was tested and her lyme IgG was very positive and IgM equivial

per CDC (her pediatrician tested her to appease me). She was treated

with 1 month of Doxy and improved, but not totally. She then slowly

worsened (missed alot of school, tears, couldn't concentrate, pain

everywhere, headache) after abx therapy and no one would accept she

needed further tx. She was tested up and down for everything, saw

many specialists, had an MRI. About 6 months later, we saw a LLMD and

she tested very positive for IgM (Igenex lab), even by CDC standards

and also positive for Bartonella.

I forgot to mention in my symposium notes that Plaquenil was biggest

culprit in cyst formation, alone or in combination with other abx. My

daughter was on it for 11 months (stopped last January).

There may be something else at play here. I hope the herbs will help

address the general health of her immune system and clear whatever is

lingering.

Thank you,

Aviva

I have some Lauricidin. Not expensive & I herx from it. I haven't herxed from my

antibiotics since December but I herx from Lauricidin.

How did you take it? I started really slow. Like 3 pellets a day & then kind of

forgot about it. And then I took a full scoop 2 days in a row, 3rd day, felt a

little crappy, so that day I only took half a scoop. That night or the next day

I was in a herx for 3 days. Nothing too terrible. But I laid in bed the whole

time. I stopped taking it after that because I was going to shoot a segment for

the Lyme PSA & since I had to drive to LA & function all day I stopped taking

it. I need to start it up again & stick with it.

Chlorella is very high in oxygen which can kill candida, are you sure they

weren't feeling nauseous/headache from yeast die off?

New to me! I take it a never had a problem.

Another worthwhile natural abx is lauricidin. Very strong, but very helpful.

There's scientific studies showing it has action against some of both gram

negative and gram positive bacteria. Bartonella is gram negative.

serves, my doc has recommended it for epstein barr. jo

I tried chlorella but it gave me throbbing pains throughout my abdomen. I

stopped, pain went away, I started, pain returned. Darnnit! I wanted to be able

to take that stuff!

I checked and found this web site about the chlorella intolerance although there

are probably others. This page has other good info.

Also some discussion about the nausea and vomiting some people experience:
