Guest guest
There have been a lot of posts in the past few days about Lyme, Fibromyalgia, etc. Pieces of posts were torn apart, quoted, and misquoted. Unfortunately, Connie thought I had taken something she said out of context and laughed about it. That was not the case. I would never do that! I quoted someone else's post, 100% intact. I did not quote *part* of her post, nor did I misquote. I had a problem with something Rita posted and after replying to it on here, I took that problem to private e-mail so the rest of the group wouldn't have to be subjected to it. Connie had no reason to be upset with me at all. I did not quote, or misquote, anything she said. I was not talking about any of her posts. I hope she has a chance to go back and read ALL the posts concerning that subject so she can see that I was not at fault. And now I will quote Rose from this morning: " I think the state of our nation/world has really had a dramatic impact on all of us. My nerves are raw, too. I'm easily angered, and that's uncommon for me. I'm very afraid of what will happen each day. And the depression is overwhelming. We need the strength of each other, or at least the compassion of knowing this is a safe place to come, to share, to learn, and benefit from each other's experience. " She is absolutely 100% correct! We will always have something on this list that we disagree with and we will express our views. At least I hope so because that's how we learn!! She is also right in her assessment of the impact the tragedy of Sept. 11 had on all of us. I too have been very (excuse my language) bitchy lately and that's not like me at all. I haven't been sleeping well .... I've been eating like a little pig .... and I'm depressed. This IS a safe place to come and I sincerely hope Connie reads all the posts from the past few days and realizes that I didn't laugh at her or make fun of something she said. And if she leaves this group because of something she *thought* happened, then I'm truly sorry and I don't know what else to say. One more time ... this is the offending post: Many Lyme patients state that their illness started with an accident. Rita atthelake@... And this was my reply: I just think we, as Lyme patients, need to be more aware that not every disease out there is Lyme related. Not every symptom is Lyme related. For example ... someone posted yesterday that she knew of people who got Lyme after being involved in an accident. WHAT??? Were there ticks in the car??? That's just ridiculous and *most* Lyme patients know that, but if the person who posted that goes around telling non-Lyme patients her thoughts ... whew. How does that make us look? Pretty stupid!!!
