" She >leaves you flapping in the wind, did she recommend anyone else for you. >Please report her everywhere you can think of >Big hugs, >Marta Dear Marta, Actually this happens more and more since onset of managed care. However I was a cheap patient - saw her 2x year with few tests. She is horribly afraid of being sued and has referred to MI doc who lost license to treat lyme. I made a mistake telling her that I was restested for lyme - her attitude changed immediatley, but I didn't think it could really be a problem. I think our docs should know what is happening with us. But this is changing, we have to be a bit sneaky. New doc (PCP) said docs are " desensitized " to people with chronic illness and patients are let go. He said same thing about family, spouses and friends - that they tend to leave an ill person. I am glad to see there are decent and caring spouses here! Back to the point, I will never put my trust in any doc again; most of them don't deserve it and if they cannot handle chronic illness then they should consider getting out of medicine and taking up a hobby. Take care, Christie
