Guest guest
I've probably had Lyme since childhood, over 40 years now. Am very debilitated. Can barely tolerate any abx--I get to the point of not being able to function at all, hardly energy to breathe, etc. I need feedback on smallest amount of an abx I can use that will still do some good. I'm currently trying metronidazole, alternating every 2 weeks with tinidazole. I need recommended lowest dosages. Ie. 1000 of tini totally wipes me out. 500 of met. I guess I should add another abx for the adult schetes. Would probably alternate every two weeks with met. or tin. for cysts. This would be better than alternating daily, right? What " easy " abx would you all recommend and and what low dosage? I need something inexpensive as no prescription coverage. Possibly could explore a drug company patient assistance program. (I know I have read of low-dose abx therapy being effective for RA over a period of years). I know Lyme is a tough bacteria and that, in general, higher doses than normal, are recommended. But I have to do what I can tolerate. Messages to the group or backchannelled would be very much appreciated. TIA, Hope (in New Mexico, without access to a LLMD, only have a sympathetic DO who will do what I recommend) hope0073@... __________________________________________________
