I was dx w/ fms a few years ago. Last spring I got a few tick bites

(one on my shoulder that I pulled out). I got really sick a few days

later, stayed home from work thinking it was a late flu. Got in the

shower and on my stomach was a huge bulls-eye rash. Went to my

rhuem,

he did the blood work, started me on doxy 6 weeks. Blood work was

negative. My symptoms were anything but. Couldn't stand light, my

ankle and hand/finger joints were swollen (opposite sides), slept

24/7

for two weeks, ran a fever, body aches. At 6 weeks I developed

palpitations and anxiety attacks. Heart monitor - benign, though

lots of them. Then everything got back to normal. Then in Dec., I

got really sick - flu like, swollen lymph nodes in legs, arms, neck.

SED was 80 (dr. didn't mention it - I saw the result on the paper).

I went to the er because I felt like I was dying. They said to go to

my doc, maby biopsy the nodes. By the time I got into my doc, the

nodes were down and I was feeling better. Said it was prob. fms.

Peachy. Now, my joints (same hand and ankle) are swollen and sore,

body aches like a s.o.b., and everytime I mentioned it (the tick

bite)

to my doc he tells me - the lyme tests were negative. What I'm

getting at is that maby i've had lyme all along and it's just cycling

in my body. I noticed that my fms symptoms got better when I was on

my rounds of Azythromycin for bronchitis. I noticed that you

wouldn't

have an elevated SED with fms. What do you think? I'm starting to

bet

Lyme over fms.
