Dear All,

As yall know I did not have a good weekend...grrrr but this new

thing started and do not know if it is related to the Duragesic

patch, syntroid, or Ceftin. What ever it is itching is not

fun.....started itching real bad on Sunday nite....went into the next

day....got out of the polyester blend of pajamas:( and got into some

cotton......still continue to itch. Here it is Wednesday so I stopped

the Ceftin thinking maybe that was it...but now started itching

again.....gonna take a shower and see what happens. I bought some

Aveeno moiturizer with oatmeal thinking that would help but so far

nothing is helping....

Help..............

Samm, and others

I found that " slapping so that it stings " rather than scratching helped

more-maybe it dulled the nerve endings more-don't know but found that is

helped the itching more and didn't leave any " raw " areas, also Ala Vera

juice-the kind where one breaks open the plant also helped more than the

oatmeal stuff from the drug store, a little slimy but it dries, also try ice

cubes, it seems to me that when that itching part of the body got a

" little warm " is when it really got bad, I just considered it the Lyme in the

nerve endings and since they like it hot, that part being warm was

making them party so I would put them to sleep slapping and ice cubing and then

slimy to hopefully shut off air supply.

Thanks Marta,

I will note on the calendar the next time my ears inside begin itching and then

drain " water " for about 5 days, I hadn't tingled in quite a while

and that started a couple of days ago and since I have been fighting off a

" going around virus " I think the little devils are swimming in the

blood-gonna fix them and do the Lyme frequency tonite

Samm,

I had that as a symptom of LD, and still do on occasion especially on the

bottom of my feet, and my inner wrists, a real deep itch, like it is under

the skin and cannot be reached. It would wake me out of a sound sleep, my

husband would find me standing on a hair brush in the middle of the night,

trying to reach that deep itch. I tried the Aveeno baths and they helped

some, if only to relax me, and then I tried Benedryl lotions, creams, pills,

you name it, the only thing that helped was time passing. I hope that you

can get yours to stop before it gets too annoying.

Good luck,

Marta

Oh That is me!!!! My itch spots are both sides of my neck, with my left

being far worse, my left shoulder and the back of my left hand. Hmmm have a

left thing going on, maybe a symptom of Neuropathy? Anyhow when these spots

act up I dont think even a brillo pad would give me relief. Strange thing is

that it just stops, doesnt wane off, just stops.

Hi Samm,

Forgot to mention, itching in the ears remains a problem with me, when

my inner ears begin to itch, I know a herx is on it's way.

Hi, I'm Dawn & I am in Michigan. My problem with itching is in my legs below

my knees and in my upper back (base of my neck, shoulders & under shoulder

blades) where I have a kinda numb pain. (Doesn't make sense but that's what I

got.) I also found that " slapping " worked the best for it. But the looks and

comments from everyone drive me nuts almost as much as the itching does.

Has anyone had an itch way back inside the mouth to the side going up to the

ear? The only way I have found to scratch it is to rub my tongue against it.

Drives me nuts! It has been going on for about 2 weeks now.

The human spirit is stronger than anything that can

happen to it.

My ears itch on the inside- and also the way back of my throat. It is one odd

symptom and quite difficult to satisfy...

Dear Marta,

Thanks so much for the feedback. I want so much to help others, & when I do

it makes me feel so good.

I do not need to take the Zyrtec every day, only when I feel the itching. I

never could have tolerated the IV Claforan without it.

Marta, I read that you are planning a move.

PLEASE let's meet before you leave NJ. I want so much to meet you.

Can't wait to get out of NJ myself, but have no idea where I'd go. I do

prefer a warmer climate & less congestion.

Hugs, a

Hi a and Sue,

I have been on Zyrtec for allergies for over a year, prior to that I was

on Claritin for years, and come to think of it the itching is not near as

bad as it used to be.

Hello,

Did you guys, gals ever think of it as yeast. When my yeast gets bad,

the first place that itches is my neck, then everywhere including my eyebrows.

Acidophilus and Diflucan and no sugar help me.

just a thought,

hugs,

Connie, MI

Samm-

It is the spirochetes, borrelia bacteria and they are settled in that area

that is ithcing. It is the nerve endings--that is where they are located.

It is an internal, no relief itch. I know, I have it all the time on my

back!!!!
