Guest guest
- I just posted about my forum on www.delphi.com and we have people there also treating mycoplasma as well.... the address is http://forums.delphi.com/HOPEISALIVE/start/ and you may have to register with Delphi first if you haven't been on their forums before (so you can post). the best source I have found for 'repopulating' your body with the good stuff is either Flora Biotic or Flora Balance. the site for Flora Balance is: http://www.better-flora.com/Flora%20Balance.htm i'm gonna have to find flora biotics' again!! But hope this helps!!! wendy abx question Hi all, I'm on doxy for mycoplasma and I'm finding it harder to control the candida with diet and friendly probiotics. My doctor has me do abx for 6 weeks cycles then diflucan for 10 days. I'm wondering if I should be on nystatin at the same time I'm taking abx. Is it okay to take nystatin and abx's on the same day ~6 hours apart? Anybody else here on long term abx? How do you control the overgrowth? Guest guest
I don't know what abx is. But the nystatin powder is good if you have this fungus in your digestive tract. The liquid is good if you have thrush but it is sugar treated so I don't know how this can be good? I was on nystatin for 2 years and it cleared up my gut problem. But nobody will put me on other meds for the deeper overgrowth. LIZ abx question Hi all, I'm on doxy for mycoplasma and I'm finding it harder to control the candida with diet and friendly probiotics. Guest guest
Hi. I'm new, and somewhat confused. I've been taking abx since late January, and I feel worse, not better. Some of my symptoms are improving, but my fatigue and achiness seem worse when I am taking abx. I assumed this was the herx reaction--am I correct, or am I missing something? Thanks, Vicki
Guest guest
Dear Vicki, Go to Dejanews.com & do a search for Atkinson-Barr (or is it Baar - can't remember - sorry). His research confirms (as does Bowen Labs - FL) that these organisms are pleomorphic - meaning they change form. From what I remember of Atkinson-Barr's work, it may be wise to start flagyl (very rough on digestive organs) FIRST for several weeks; then start other abxs, as this puts the lyme " between a rock & a hard place " (according to pharmacist/lymie friend). If it changes from the cell-wall-deficient form back to " normal " form, then the regular abxs will recognize it (perhaps). Have you been tested for co-infections? Four months is a LONG TIME (in my opinion) to be on abxs - not " knocking " anyone who does - we did them for 6 mos (multiples; high doses - oral) - 90 days, almost to day after stopping, disease reared its ugly head in severe relapse. In my humble, non-medical opinion, this confirms what vet med friends have told me - that the abxs are NOT killing the organisms, but merely suppressing them. (PCRs on dogs who had very high dose doxy for several months came up positive on PCRs between 90-120 days with no reinfection...) That was enough for us... (of the abxs) We have taken a holistic approach to these diseases (all 3) & have not had problems in over TWO YEARS! I should clarify - I totally support Doc B & other LLMDs in what they are doing! I believe in TOTAL FREEDOM OF CHOICE IN MEDICINE - whatever that may be for ANY individual; pharmaceuticals are just not for us... (Took months of Chinese herbs, etc. to clear all the poisons from pharmaceuticals ( " toxic heat " in Chinese terms) out of system... Blessings! PS - feel free to write off list anytime! LOVE your screen name! > Hi. I'm new, and somewhat confused. I've been taking abx since > late January, and I feel worse, not better. Guest guest
Time to switch to another abx................... If you aren't losing a few symptoms during a course of abx (two cycles of the spirochete), or after a good herx...........then its time to try something new. Remember there are many different strains, different abx work for different strains. I still think that's why I don't have any more lyme symptoms, variety of abx and alternative treatments. Connie nwnj Leave no stone unturned.......and ask questions! If the answers don't agree with your gut feelings or your research, ask more questions or see another Dr !!
