Guest guest
Jane, I keep the membership list " hidden " from members because it seems safer to do so. This way no one can hijack our membership list and use it as a SPAM list. Also, when the member name is listed, so is the member profile. Not all of our members use the profile section because they signed up via email. However, anyone who signs up at the website is informed that they " must " fill out part of the profile. (I always tell people if they are uncomfortable with these questions to lie.) Forcing members to reveal personal information offends me, therefore I have made sure that the personal information remains personal for members of . This concerns me most for any member of this list that is under the age of 18. If the majority of members want to change this I can certainly do that. Concerning your personal dilemma described below, you obviously can do two things, either respond to the email or don't respond. That decision is completely up to you. Robynn -OwnereGroups [ ] Who is this person? I got a Lyme email from this person, but never heard of her: The membership list is not showing. Is this on purpose? CherylMcQ@... I would be happy to do a profile. Where do I find it? As for keeping the list of out email addresses/names private, I think this is wonderful. The last thing I need or want is SPAM mail. Thanks for doing a great job. a Aida/ NJ
