How do you cope? > Oxycontin is not a very long acting pain med. The doctor needs to prescribe a break through pain pill for in those times you take the Oxycontin. And I was like you headaches every single day. I was also prescribed Florinol and found that you can get bounce back headaches from taking it. I was going through two Maxalt every day. So I called the pain clinic and told them I needed more than meds and asked for facet injections in my neck under light sedation. One week that did the right side more dominate pain. And went back the next week and had the left side done. That has been 3 weeks ago and I have not had a headache since.
