Guest guest
Cyntha, GO TO THE ER Young Lady, dont make me come over there! *-) With HR and BP that low you have to get it checked out, have possibly some blood drawn for cardiac enzymes and of course an EKG. Dont put this off. Go right now. Zith crosses well into muscle tissue, could be that you are having a " Cardio-Herx " . Go, be safe. Guest guest
, I used to get this very low BP a lot, sometimes the machine just wouldn't measure it (I had one of those automatic cuffs). When I could measure it, it was 85/50 or 80/60 quite a lot then I'd be really pleased when it would hit 95/60 and delirious when it went over the 100/70 mark. When I was that bad, I could not get up at all, I spent 3 months totally flat on my back, only getting up for bathroom activities (showers sitting on a plastic stool, great fun). I was very upset most of the time, I felt as if there was not enough blood in my head unless I put my legs right up against the wall near my bed. I had very bad ectopic beats (every 3 or 4 beats) and during the night my pulse often dropped to 40 (I had it recorded several times by holter monitor). I also had very bad pauses in my heart or breathing during the night. Anyway, 2 years 1/2 down the track and buckets of abx (of all kinds) later I can say all of the above described sx are gone (for the time being anyway!) The BP was the first to improve and the ectopic heart beats the last (only stopped suddenly 6 weeks ago). The problem with going to an ER room is that they won't understand any of it, unless you are lucky. I wasn't and I was laughed at by several cardiologists and stared at by a few disbelieving others. I am planning to return to them with my latest Holter monitor results and see they jaws drop when I tell them I did it all my way with abx and nothing else! Still, if BP keeps on dropping go to ER, nevertheless. Have you tried taking lots of salt? I found it helped me a bit, temporarily anyway. Guest guest
Dear Cyntha, I hope Pepi scared you into going to the ER. If not, here's something else to get you going...with a low B/P and pulse you could have a stroke. You wouldn't be much use to your kids if you ended up a vegetable. Please get help. Guest guest
as a former RN I would definitely get this evaluated. my concern is the low puse more so than the BP. go ASAP. patty
Guest guest
I did go ...they kept me in for the night and watched. But like many times nothing reallys showed. Same story in other words. I have been feeling somewhat better. Still feel dizzy and nauseated. The doctor seemed more concerned with the fever than anything. and of course as always my heart rate wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary while I was there. From what they could tell by taking my pulse. Just found out my mother in law went in the same time I did. Boy talk about bad luck. I am still shaky and can't stay up for long periods of time ...just wanted to let you know what is up. Oh yes I also while at the hospital developed a rash. I didn't notice it but the doctor did. The worst part of my rash was by my left elbow. It really got red and stung like the dickens. You can still lightly see it. Doctor doesn't seem to have concern over my blood pressure. He told me many woman have blood pressures like that. And that I really didn't need to be to concerned about it. I kind of got the impression that he wasn't to happy with me coming in...Now this is my doctor not the ER doctor. The ER doctor was a lot more concerned. But my doctor basically told me it was due to the Fibromyalgia. I had temperatures between 100-102. They just gave me antibiotics by iv even though they couldn't find anything wrong. and today suprise I feel better than I have in a week but I know that won't last very long. I still feel flushed today but have no fever. So all in all it seemed like another wasted trip to the hospital. I had some tests done and they were going to make me wait for the results before they let me come home but they were taking so long that I just asked to leave and they call me if any of the tests showed some concern. Right now I am waiting to hear from him about my ultrasounds that were taken. I am very frustrated and I have decided to change to a blackfoot doctor to see if he can help me better. I am getting nowhere now. It is like I have been put into the background. I need to see a neurologist because of some seizures and memory problems. I also want some one to take more agression on my health care. I am hoping I can find that in Blackfoot which is South from me. I hope things are going well for everyone else. I need to go lay down and rest I am getting sleepy. Thanks to all ofyou for your concern. Just another one of those things the doctors did not catch, wrong time wrong place. Guest guest
Dear Cyntha, I'm sorry that you're having such a tough time fighting to be taken seriously when you're so sick. I hope you do find a better doctor. Eileen, NJ
Guest guest
Thank you Eileen. It is appreciated. I hope so too. I called my rheumotologist doctor about my problems yesterday. He seems to take me just a little more seriously than the other doctors. Anyway I talked to the nurse not to him actually. She seemed a bit concerned. I was told the doctor would call but I have not yet received a call from him. My other doctor may be mad. Perhaps his wife does have bp 85/42 most of the time...but yet he is also forgetting that my bp regularly is around the neat and clean 120/70. I also don't like the way I feel with it being lower. Anyway today so far all my bp's have been normal since yesterday except for one 97/66. Which isn't too bad. I don't know what was going on. I take it probably at least four times a day. My doc thinks I am paranoid-and yes maybe perhaps but I think with good cause. This morning I am running a temp of 100.0 F which perhaps could be from Lyme. Doctor says it is called a fibro fever. I feel very week and tired and having some of my usual abdominal pain, haven't eaten anything yet but usually is worse when I eat. I haven't eaten much the last two days for that reason. anyway. I plan on writing to Oprah though too. Even though I haven't gotten the Lyme diagnosis. Other than the one the doctor gave me and pronounced me cured after 30 days. He did this to humor me I think to get me to shut up. He had also gave me the impression that if I wasn't doing better that he would give me some more. I was also thinking and wondering could the problems I am having now a herx. Since I have been on Zithromax almost constantly for about two months now with my sinus infections? Anyway I pray that all of you can find a way to be better. I think about you guys every day. and even though I don't reply to many of the emails I still read on about everyone. I some how keep holding on to a ray of sunshine. And if wasn't for you my friends and Our savior I don't think I could have made it this far. Well and for my wonderful husband and children too. I hope things are well with all of you and sorry about the long letter. And Eileen thanks again it is nice to hear from you. Love, Cyntha Landon Idaho Re: [ ] hello from frightened. Guest guest
Hi, Glad to hear your doing better, but sorry your no closer to an answer. How are your kids doing? My daughter has lyme, she's 11. We are also members of your church. We live in PA, and you would think the doctors around here would be good with diagnosing/treating lyme but they aren't. Our doctor is a pediatric LLMD and we go to CT to see him, the local doctors are useless. The doctor we see also is familiar with treating gestational lyme (he's the only one I know of that does). Did you know there is an organization called AngelFlight that arranges free flights for folks to get medical treatment? Also, when we had our last visit recently, I over heard his nurse saying that a wealthy parent of one of his patients is starting an organization to fly kids to see him for free. As far as accomodations goes, there is a Mc house near the doctors office, and the charge is only $10 a night. Let me know if you are interested, you might not be up to all this right now. I don't know what his fee's are for a family or if your insurance would cover treatment though. I do know that he uses combination oral abx when possible, and it seems easier to get insurance approval for oral's. Believe it or not, I felt very inspired in church this week to tell you this. My e-mail at home is lkey@... if you want to write. Take care. Lynn
