Hi all - ? about White Coat Hypertension

Hi there....

I have a few questions about whether anyone here has experienced this or not. When I go to my drs appts...my blood pressure (which has always been low) tends to get high. Then I will go home and take it and it is low again. This past week, my bp was 155 over 90 and they took it before I left and it was 144 over 80. When I got home, it read at 126 over 70. My bp is usually way lower than that. I think it is the anxiety of going to the drs. Anyone have any suggestions on how they deal with that? I can feel myself getting nervous as soon as my name is called and I know it is a normal predicament but this has just started to happen. Any ideas? Meditation...know it could be meds also. I am on prednisone 5 mg, arava 10 mg. Soon to start enbrel self mix. Then onto rituxan if that does not help me.

I know that there is a 24 hr bp monitor also.
