Ok I finally got these results back, it took THREE weeks!! But it came back

positive. I am currently on doxycicline twice a day. Does anyone else have

this? I don't know much about this either :( I wonder if this is why I'm

still getting these bad headaches.

The treatment for Ehrlichiosis is doxy. I am not sure if it can be passed to

another person. I have/had it along with lyme and babesia. My husband tested

positive for lyme (he got it from me) but he didn't test positive for the

co-infections.

I realize this may be indiscreet; but how was it

transmitted from you to your husband?

We cant absolutely believe something like this, there is no proof. Do I

think Lyme can be transmitted through sex? Most likely. However it hasnt

been proven, but then again, absense of proof isnt proof of absense LOL and

because of this we always use protection. My hubby was dxed w/Lyme also,

never had the first symptom, but was tested because I had it and better safe

then sorry. Since so often spouses are in the same environment, it is easy

to say they got it when we did. So we dont know if he indeed got it from me

or from just being out where I probably got it to begin with. My dog and a

horse also got Lyme from this area. I think there should be study done

to see and prove, once and for all, wether Lyme is sexually transmitted.

I have had lyme for about 30yrs and was diagnosed 5yrs ago. My husband was

showing signs of lyme that is why the dr tested him. We have been together for

15yrs. So, he couldn't have gotten it where I did.

Have you seen Dr Mattman's video showing that she has found ketes in male sperm

and in tears? I have heard from many people where spouses get lyme after the

other one had been sick for yrs.not knowing they had lyme. I know one couple who

has it, the husband got tick bite, rash, abx soon after. Him and his wife didn't

have sex for 6mo. til doc said he was " clear " After that, they started having

sex (not sure if they were using condoms) Now, she is testing positive for lyme

with symptoms.

I know this disease is ungodly, and I have learned to not have blinders on when

it comes to this.

I am thinking sexually. Dr Mattman (she has researched lyme for 7-8 yrs) has a

video that shows ketes in sperm, and says it is in tears. She didn't say it was

in any other body fluids, but I don't see how it wouldn't be in other fluids. I

know I don't have sperm but I have shed alot of tears in the course of this

disease.

, I agree, just like my post said, however there is no definative

proof that anyone has ever gotten Lyme from their spouse. Maybe your husband

got it on his, maybe not. Do I believe he got it from you or my hubby got it

from me, most likely. Yes I know it is in blood, tears, semen, placental

fluids etc.I wonder if there is a DNA test for specific strains of Lyme,

this would be, to me, the best way to prove if they are indeed getting it

from us. I first got Lyme way back in the 80's in CT, then got reinfected

here. If hubby had the strain from Ct we would know it was from me. Hmmm

thats a good point, anyone know if this type of testing is possible? I

need to remember to ask LLMD about it. Of all the crap I and my critters

have been through, I surely dont have blinders on. I just make the point of

not making a definitive statement without proof.

<<<<<I wonder if there is a DNA test for specific strains of Lyme,

I think this is the major problem with treating people for lyme disease.

There are so many different strains, I don't believe they have all been

identified. What they need to do in research is identify all the strains, and

then start putting them into lab dishes and start testing different abx on them.

I believe that is were the problem comes in.

Can you imagine that lab room? Thousands of dishes for thousands of

strains........with many different abx on each bacteria......waiting to see if

the bacteria can be killed off. It's a lot of work..........and unfortunately,

our government doesn't want to pay to have this done.......can you imagine what

this would cost??

Let's see than develop a test to determine the strain or strains in someone's

blood.

Then determine which abx will kill off that strain or multiple strains.

Then determine the length of time on that abx to kill off that strain.

Then determine the amount of abx needed to kill off that strain.

And that is just one strain of the lyme bacteria......how about

co-infections............how about the co-infections that haven't been

identified yet?

And we wonder why some of us are cured and some of us are still searching for a

cure...........

A lot of the treatment is guess work........very hit or miss.

I can just see the advertisement for the study now " Test study being

conducted. Need husbands and wives to have repeated rounds of sex

to observe the likelihood of contracting lyme disease. " Sorry, I

just don't see it happening.
