Guest guest
Yep, I had weird feelings in my left arm. Once it went numb and I thought I was having a stroke. My husband took me to the emergency room. When I told them I had lyme, they just said I should see my doctor the next day. Sometimes it just feels like there is not enough strength in my hand or arm, but it moves. Irene
Guest guest
I have that as well. My left arm will go numb and 'tingle', as if it were falling asleep. It happens a lot when I'm driving. I have the strength problem in my hands...especially in the morning when I'm first getting up. My hands just don't 'work'. Kris --- renier1@... wrote: > Yep, I had weird feelings in my left arm. Guest guest
The same thing happened to me. My left arm went limp & I thought I was having a stroke. I was hoping that it was just another strange lyme symptom. I went to bed and just hoped for the best & when I woke up in the morning it was better. I have a lot of weakness on my right side. I'm constantly dropping things, its so frustrating. Take care, Kim S. renier1@... wrote: Yep, I had weird feelings in my left arm. Once it went numb and I thought I was having a stroke. Guest guest
Same here, my hands are very weak, I cant open things and I drop things constantly. Like cups and plates. I think I have a grip on the item, but my hand doesn’t agree! Lol. I have carpel tunnel in my right hand. These are common symptoms of lyme as you can see from all the replies. roe
Guest guest
Group, I am sure glad this symptom has come up. I have been on the list for close to a year, mostly lurking and I think its the first time this type has come up. I was misdiagnosised for years, mainly because of the "weakness". Its my entire right side. From what I can remember I am 18 yrs into Lyme disease and some advice. IF you don't use it you will loose it. I have continued to walk even though I felt like the leg was giving out, and it has many times, I have the act of falling down pat by now. Do not just "give" up and let others do for you! I believe that's the only reason I am still moving around-I have/had no one and I truely believe had I not had my dogs that insisted I get up and let them out I would be bed bound. I realize we feel like we just cannot get up and do what we have to do but slowly the body must be kept going. I am beginning to improve now so I guess I am handing out advice. It might have been good, before I got so down, to do special exercises but then Dr's were saying it was something else. I have been to the point of ready to cut the dern leg off as it would have been easier with a peg leg rather than pulling the stupid leg around but now I am once again able to lift foot off the floor maybe 3 inches most of the time. Pace yourself but continue to stay active. Coleen "Kim S." wrote: The same thing happened to me. My left arm went limp & I thought I was having a stroke. Guest guest
I get right arm weirdness, and mostly pain where I just cannot move it, I get the same thing with just my wrist ankles etc, but when it comes to my r arm, it just is a weird painful feeling. Your's sounds more like when you fall asleep and sleep on your arm wrong (not that you did), but I can immagine the feeling as I get that from sleeping like a log and waking up missing an arm, leg hand etc cannot feel it and really haveto work at moving it, mine does't get tingley it think it gets past that stage because I sleep through everything! Guest guest
My hands don't work well in the morning either. I have had tendinitis and carpal tunnel since I was a teenager. I had to give up the piano because of it. I don't have much grip any more and have a hard time opening jar lids.
