Guest guest
I can identify with you totally........... I had terrible nightmares.........I think brought on by different medications. One dream I had the ceiling fan in my room had arms and was attacking me.....(the worst think about that was I called my therapist, in the middle of the night and left a message on her machine about it) I have no memory of doing this. In another a ghostly woman was chasing me around the house.........I woke up screaming..........scared the crap out of the dogs. I had others where I was being chased my students. They caught me, kiddnapped me, and locked me in an underground pit. In another dream, I had a class last year, that was a little hyper active. I had a dream where I sat them all down, and told them they forgot to take their medication for the day........so I went around dispensing it to them..........actually that's a pretty funny one. So don't worry, the dreams will come and go....... There was a time though, I wasn't sure If during the day, when I was discussing something, if It was a dream I had or if it really happened.........now that can be disturbing.............The dreams are so real, your not sure during the day if the situation really happened. Hang in there, May pleasant dreams come your way, Conniek nwnj Leave no stone unturned.......and ask questions!

Guest guest
Hi Angie, I guess everyone had nightmares with this stupid disease. It also sounds like you have some unresolved issues with a former friend, and that would symbolize why the snakes were attacking each other. I don't know maybe you should talk to your friend, I know it easier said than done. I also, met someone who I thought was my friend and that friend lied to me about something a few months ago. I never could get past it, It was always in the back of my mind and she didn't even apologize for lying to me. If I wouldn't have caught her in the lie, she never would have told me the truth. To me that is not a friend. Needless to say, the friendship has resolved, we don't have contact with one another, and I am okay with that. I hope this helps some. Guest guest
Jody, That happened to me also and I think it is from the Bell's. The facial nerve also controls the middle ear muscles and I was sensitive to EVERY noise! This goes away after a while but I still notice that my right ear is more sensitive than my left. Guest guest
Does anyone get the falling thing and don't wake up...instead hitting the bottom?? does. Says his dreams/nightmares are extremely vivid!!! Between that, and falling out of his double bed, waking several times per night, etc....it's no surprise we're doing sleep studies on him. Guest guest
Funny about dreams, I had them terrible when I was at my sickest which lasted about 3 years. The tale below reminds me of when I was a young single working mother, years before LD, I had a continuous dream of falling into the water, either falling out of a boat, or crossing a bridge and the car crashing and going into the water. I would be able to see while under the water, fighting my way to the top, but I always woke up in a sweat as I could not reach the top and air. Years later, I was walking through the Living room, my son was watching the Jefferson's the lyrics in the song said something like, " keeping our heads above water " It dawned on me that my fear of not having enough money had been triggering my dream of not getting my head above water. When I remarried and was financially secure, I never had that dream again. I haven't had any serious nightmares in the last year or so, which is good, maybe that means I am getting better? Guest guest
Hi Sal, I had that falling feeling for awhile too when I was at my worst, but I usually woke up. I fell out of bed once because I dreamed a train was coming at me and I rolled out of the bed right onto the floor. About one year Pre-LD, I had that falling feeling while dreaming, instead of waking up, I had the feeling of floating down, like a feather, it was the most wonderful sensation I have ever had, waking or sleeping. I landed in a gurney in some kind of hospital setting and continued the dream from there, it was kind of scary and someone was chasing me with a knife. I wonder if this was a premonition of my illness to come? Marta From: <Lymies3@...> .... > Does anyone get the falling thing and don't wake up...instead hitting > the bottom?? does. Guest guest
Hey guys, my LLMD is a neurologist and he relates all of these problems, skipped heart beat and sensitivity to noise, light, & movement to the little spirochetes because they are eating away at your brain. I have to sleep with ear plugs in a completely darkened room (black) with an eye mask as well as the sleep meds! Your Lyme can affect the heart and lungs! Get your LLMD to send you do some tests and maybe send you to a cardiologist and/or a neurologist that knows about Lyme! There is so much that these horrible bacteria can do to our bodies and our minds! Let me know how it goes. Oh, the nerve in the middle ear that is being affected is the 7th nerve (I am a hearing impaired (Deaf ED) teacher w/ a Master's in this area!) KC in TX [ ] Re: nightmares... Guest guest
Hi Marta, I had bad dreams to where I would be on the college campus and could never find what building I was looking for, and could never find what I was looking for. I also had dreams to where I had gone back to school to try to get my masters degree and again couldn't find where I needed to go and was frustrated. This dream repeated several times. I correlate my dream with getting sick in college. I got sick my last year in college and have never been able to work full-time which created alot of financial strain and I felt like I was not where I wanted to be in life, but things are getting better and I have gotten past alot of those issues. Awww Hon, I know that is a very scary feeling, hope you realized right quick that you were here with us *-) Some years ago I passed out from my Heart Probs ( which healthy young women dont have HA!) anyhow, when I came too I could hardly move and had made a mess, wont go into that LOL When I did come to I just knew I was dead, I still swear that when I got to my hands and knees I could see myself laying there. Very strange. I sure can empathize with your dream. Take care, heather
Guest guest
Have you ever had a dream that you were trying to wake up and everything is so visual, but you can't wake up. It is too freaky, it is like your body is so exhausted that it won't allow you to wake up. This happened to me and I woke up 3hrs later than usual. I also had a dream about walking in a ladies yard and trying to get to her house and there were snakes in the yard everywhere, creepy! Guest guest
I had a lovely dream last night-for a while. I was dreaming that I asked a friend to watch some of my things and when I came back to pick them up he had also went shopping for me and paid $167 for all kinds of little gifts for me. Now, they weren't exactly things I wanted but I was so touched by his concern for me it made me happy. For some reason, I sat down at a table and started to go over the receipt. This woman walked up-looking kinda like Stockard Channing in " Where the Heart Is " but a bit rougher. She walked up and I was thinking, for some crazy reason, she was a healer. As she walked up she reached out her hands for me and I was basically game for anything which might make a difference and was getting ready to allow her " healing hands " to touch me. She reaches out and says " you will always be afraid of the Devil! " That totally ticked me off, who's NOT afraid of devils?! So as she was reaching out to touch me I raised my voice and said " Oh good grief, leave me ALONE! " and backhanded her with my arm! Needless to say, I woke up. Remembering my dream I started laughing! Two days prior I had gone into this little alternative book/gift store and there was this really nice woman but she was trying to talk me into this book, MAP, which tells you how to channel. Not being that desparate, yet, I left her and started reviewing some of the books on dreams. One said that in your dream you wake up to get away from what is happening and that prevents you from working out the problem and you need to be able to control your dreams so they work for you. Wellll, I think I did a good job of that! I also think that the receipt represented my " devil " because it was concerning money and I guess I'm always going to be afraid of money problems. Pesky devils. Wish I could backhand some of those away!!! Good night and sweet dreams, Angie
