Guest guest
Hi everyone I had to take a break for 8 months having chelated my 7yr old asd daughter for over 6 months (I had a baby). Sophie had 24 rounds previously 10 just dmsa 1/8mg per llb and then 14 rounds of dmsa and ala. So restarted last weekend and did 72 hours of ala and dmsa with all supps in place vitC zinc mag calc biotin candex vit d probiotics also gaba and 5htp for her anxiety. At the end of the round she was VERY yeasty and stimmy so I increased her candex and probiotics and she seems calmer question is should I just do another round as last weekend or should I do some doses towards the end with just dmsa? I seem to remember that ala especially stirs up yeast and also dmsa mops things up at the end of a round. My daughter weighs approx 51llbs and we have been dosing every 3 hours at 1/8mg per llb.Is there anything else I could try to try and dampen down the yeast or should I just grit teeth and carry on I find her stimmy and yeasty behaviour scary but I do remember that she had lovely gains last time so hopefully will do this time too.Sorry for the ramble hope some people will be kind enough to reply emma and sophie in London UK
Guest guest
Hi Emma, It's nice to see you :-) Some people do the last couple doses just DMSA with the idea of mopping up a bit, but I'm not sure that would really have an impact on yeast, as you seem to be asking. I've heard people saying that dmsa caused more yeast for them than ala, so I think it can be quite individual. What I would do is address yeast heavily in between rounds as well. We found this made a big difference, being preemptive rather than just reactive. When yeast was an issue, what I found most helpful was candex with the 11 pm and 2 am doses followed by lots of probiotics with 5 am and 8 am doses. Lots of people have found that candex followed by something like OoO or GSE a few hours later and then the probiotic a few hours after that is very powerful. Good luck :-) Anita > > Hi everyone I had to take a break for 8 months having chelated my 7yr old asd daughter for over 6 months (I had a baby).
