Bonnie, glutamic acid is the most bioavailable form of glutamine, so predictably

it's the form found in mother's milk and non-hydrolyzed whey.

all good,

Take L-Glutamine and Glutathione together??? Do they both appear in WHEY

Protein Powder? How would I supplement with them and how much to take?

Bonnie,

L glutamine and Glutathione should be taken together. Both are important to

the intestinal cells. Colostrum, Lactoferrin, GI Cell, Aloe Vera and Bee

Pollen help the intestine to heal faster. Colostrum and Bee Pollen increase

the intestinal villi and this is important when you are gluten intolerant.

They also help to fight candida. Keep in mind if what you have if a gluten

intolerance and no Celiac, you don't need to be extremely worried about if

some food may be contaminated with gluten. Celiac people are extremely

sensitive to gliadin and they react severely with a minimun. I don't mean

you can eat gluten, but don't go to the extreme. The best test is to test

yourself with gluten and see how you react with a minimun. Chesse is

safe!!!.

: A Gluten intolerance and no Celiac, what does that mean? My

Anti-Gliadin test was Postive but I never did have any of the usual

reactions to Gluten that I'm aware of. But my immune system was severely

depressed & 7 months on a Gluten-Free Diet has improved on that test.

Cheese is safe? What are you saying, that some Cheese has Gluten?

Thanks,Bonnie

Bonnie,

There are a lot of people reacting to gluten intake without met the criteria to

be diagnosed with Celiac. I mean, those who have negative test results but still

can not tolerate gluten. These people are called gluten sensitive or gluten

intolerant people. Most cheese are gluten free but you must read the labels. A

big % of the immune system is in the gut and the gut microbiota play an

important role . A big part of gut flora live on the intestinal villi. There is

not clear evidence yet if gluten sensitive people get villi damage in the same

way Celiac guys get, but probably yes. What I want to say is if you get a flat

villi because an autoimmune reaction to gluten, you lose the small finger tips

which are responsible for nutrient absorption and the gut microbiota lose its

home. Now, try to realize how big this damage is. Get a read about the way

gluten damage the intestinal villi and you will see how many bad consecuences it

bring.

Many times candida is not what is causing the worse problems.

To heal a leaky gut you may need 2000 mg of L glutamine a day plus 1000 mg of

Glutathione. Too much intake of L Glutamine can drop down Glutathione levels.

Glucosamime, Bee Pollen, Aloe Vera, Colostrum, Vitamin C, Fish Oil and Vitamin E

with Selenium can also help.

I wonder if anybody knows that L-Glutamine is MSG and could be toxic.

I talked to expert in MSG and he confirmed that. I have tried to take it when I

has gastritis and got pain in stomach but probably it is for good.Even gelatin

has MSG though not so concentrated.

MSG gives me migraines. I take l-glutamine every day and get no headaches

from it. Monosodium glutamate is different from l-glutamine. Liz

I've been taking l-glut for couple of years now, usually as an addition to

my protein shakes......Gosh, If I had your reaction, I'd be telling my

friends, etc. and make sure I had a constant supply....(smile).........I

started using it for cravings and just kept that up---really haven't noticed

any other side effects..........

Margaret,  how much do you take for each dose and how much daily? I was taking

1000 supplement. My lyme doctor who originally put me on to it was going to have

me take 3 of the 1000's 2-3times a day. That seems like alot. So it helps your

cravings? Doug

Doug, glutamine is one of the growth hormone releasing amino acids. Well being

is increased when one is in anabolic or growth mode, maybe that's what you

experienced. Further use increases youthful vigor and often, libido too, two of

the other youth markers.

all good,

Duncan

experienced a very heightened sensual response. In addition it seemed to relax

some tight muscle issues. I am taking it by suggestion for my leakey gut. I was

wondering what others typically experience taking this supplement over time.

Thanks Doug

Hi :

> I was taking L-Glutamine on a regular basis, for muscle tissue and immune

function support. It also helped me with gas pain and digestive general

discomfort. Can you tell me if I can continue to take this ? If not, what would

be taking over these jobs?

***This question gets asked a lot and Bee has answered this question many times

in the past: you don't need to take glutamine supplements because you get plenty

of glutamine from the eggs and meats on this program.

Yea! One less thing to waste your money on!

Hey Marissa,

THANKS, for your quick replies, you are so helpful I really appreciate it.I

don't know everything that has been asked as i just recently joined. It is a

supplement that is recommended by many detox programs and also other alternative

medicine sites, so most likely it will be asked again. I have  half a bottle

left yet, do not want to waste it.

Hi ,

A lot of new folks to the board tend to ask questions that have been asked over

and over again. But, as you said, you're new so how could you know, right? All

of the posts are archived and searchable at our group site. There is a

search box there and it can be used similar to any other web-based search. Bee's

website is also a wealth of information and is also searchable.

here's a link to the group:

/

and a link to Bee's site:

http://healingnaturallybybee.com/

We don't mind answering questions that have already been asked, but as you're

getting familiar with the diet it might be fun for you to look things up for

yourself. That way you can continue to read and learn and feel more empowered to

move forward with this new program.

***Oops! I meant to convey that Bee has answered that question a bunch of times

and it's a common question that lots of folks want to know the answer to....

that was what was in my head. I did not mean to imply that you should not ask a

" common " question, but in looking over my response, I realize it could read like

that. Sorry... please don't feel like you can't ask questions... I didn't mean

for it to read like that. :)

no offense taken, i am just getting used to the site and now know from

another moderator how to do a search for a topic, if I am unclear I will make

sure to ask for clarification. I just took betaine hydrochloride for the first

time today, and will ask if I notice any discomfort

thanks so much for being there!

Hi,

My son has a leaky gut and mal-absorption issues. He's a patient of Dr. Bui

and Dr. Lynch in Massachusetts. I've been reading about L-Glutamine. What

brand is good? Is this something you get through prescription or over the

counter?

Thanks,

Max.
