Guest guest
Dear Lynn and Everyone~ The postcards are our way of doing a Lyme census. ONE postcard per household stating the number of people who have been bitten. I think it is also critical to state how many are chronically ill/disabled, or need constant antibiotics to function. I suggested buying extra cards and pre-addressing them if you are able for friends and relatives. This was just to make it more likely that they would join the campaign. Having a green avalanche of postcards will help the Senators and Congresspeople who have co-sponsored the Lyme Bill gain support to have it passed. (I hope.) You can use a larger stamp (34 cents) on a postcard if it's more convenient than a trip out to the post office. Please don't send index cards-they jam the machines. An envelope and a piece of paper are fine if you don't have postcards. I just wanted those who are too sick to write a letter to be able to participate. Thank you all again for your support.
