Guest guest
Dear Pepi i am on the same page as you with this FMS syndrome concept. MOST OF US WITH LYME 'HAD ' THE fms/cfs/cfids dx...all of us MISDIAGNOSED left with an untreated chronic lyme infection that festered for YEARS FOR MOST OF US... THESE 'HARMFUL' LABLES have literally left untreated infected patients with a slow death snetence overtime as well as increased disablities as a direct result of this IGNORANT OVERSITE... it is said that lyme is overdiagnosed YET they can repeatalyl give diganosis of CFS/FMS/CFIDS/ADHD/ADD, that is NOT QUESTIONED....it all feels like proganda and outright medical ABUSEby the medical community at large.... these other syndrome LABLES are that lables and discripton of set of health problems and symptoms...you can put a lyme list next to a FMS/CFS/CFIDS list and there is literally no difference of the 'symptoms' ... why is it FMS/CFS/CFIDS isnt refered to as 'the we don't know syndorme' (TWDKS) OR 'we don't care to look or test for anything syndrome' ... THEY ARE TRULY THE SICKO's.... my 2 cents Cherlyme 9/19/00 PEPI WRITES: Here is my idea on FMS/CFS. I do not feel that these are seperate diseases, but merely symptoms of a greater problem that has not be dxed yet. Many Drs will just hand out these dx's and not look any further. Most FMS sypmtoms match our Lyme ones perfectly. And the FMS 'trigger points', what a joke they are. Anyone with chronic pain will most likely have those points! All they are are ancient chinese acupuncture points, we all have them and when something comes along to inflame them , Drs say oopps ya got FMS. I truly, wholeheartedly feel that 99.99999% of FMSers out there have anything other than FMS. Like seronegative Lyme, or MS or something else. FMS is just a catchphrase for symptoms, its like saying 'I have a cough along with my pneumonia' This is just my thoughts, dont mean much and darn sure dont want to offend anyone.
