Guest guest
We moved a week and a half ago, and it didn't exactly go as planned and my son had a difficult time. He seems to have settled in a bit more, no longer crying for " familiar " as he put it, or crying because " strange! confused! " . Anyway, if any one has any tips, I'd sure appreciate them. We do cyber school at home, and I'm having trouble keeping him focused and caught up, and I can't get the house unpacked properly to make it feel more like " home " . It won't feel like the old home - it's completely different, and we replace a lot of things with better quality stuff - he wants " his " bed back, but we invested in an organic chemical free mattress and boxspring. We addressed the bulk of the stress/anxiety with therapies, social stories, Bach flower and homeopathy and a lot of positive reinforcement and hugs. He does LOVE the new place, trying to learn to ride a bike and even trying to make friends, so I'm hoping it all works out right in the end. Now, to top it all off, it's bad allergy season where we live and he's particularly allergic to tree pollens. With the messed up move, we missed our NAET that he needs for this time of year as a " tune up " . We are scheduled for next week - but what a long week ahead. His face is swollen, his eyes are inflammed and itching, congestion, sneezying, wheezing, coughing, cranky, not sleeping, and miserable. Trying some homeopathy in the meantime which is barely controlling things. He has severe reactions to all Rx allergy meds we've ever tried. I did try Benadryl last night and got a really bad reaction from him - hyper, giggly, and terribly aggressive and violent. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears. Speaking of ears.....we've used epsom salt baths for about 3 years now and saw great things. Now lately, his ears turn red IN the bath. I used to put him in the epsom salt bath to GET RID of the red ears. What does this mean? Should we stop the baths? We've been doing biomed for 3 years, and chelation for a year (the past few weeks we had to stop as we had living arrangement issues with selling/building). He has improved by leaps and bounds overall - his ATEC was last at a 31 and his behvavioral therapists were pleased because he met all his goals. Now the past week it has all fallen apart. I'm hoping NAET for the allergies gets him back on track like it usually does. Thanks for the usual great advice!
