Thank you for asking.....Ken is so-so....I have 'let go', don't help him at

all with meds., drs., info, etc. He didn't take his meds. (again) for 3

days...today he is back on track. His 14-yr old son called earlier today and

told us that he is not coming home anymore; he is staying with his mother

(she walked out on the 2 boys 9 yrs. ago, now she is back). He was supposedly

doing his 'every other weekend' visit with her....she lives 2 towns over.

He is very sick with lyme, his mother never gives him his meds. when he is

visiting her...here is ANOTHER person that is not going to receive the proper

care that I was helping.....oh well. Open-heart, keep an open mind, Sue. OK,

I am better.....

Ken has a drs. visit with the cardiologist on the 21 March so we shall see

what he decides to do.

I, in the meantime, have some VERY exciting news!!!!!

Tomorrow morning I am seeing a WONDERFUL Dr. of Naturopathy and we are going

to discuss what to do at this point with me I " think " that they do

ozone/oxygen for CHEAP!!! Please see www.abundalife.com . This place is

about 25 minutes from my house. READ it, it is exciting!!!!

Will let you know. I have something else 'in the works' but will share when

something becomes more concrete.

I was given the good news last year that I have Lyme....I had never heard of

it before. Not that many people in NC have it I guess. I have found a LLMD he

must be good cause he said people from Fla., VA, Tenn. and other states come

to see him. I am on antibox for now. He says that I have a long road ahead.

What exactly does that mean?

Will I ever have a pain free day?

What does the future hold for Lyme people?

I also have Bipolar disorder and take enough pills so taking more makes me

depressed...I just hate pills.

I'm sorry that so many of you have had a bad time with DR's and insurance

companies. I hope things get better for you.

In the last month both my daughter and myself have had problems with

our hearts racing in front of the computer. Her heartbeat went up to

125 bps. I have an idea that this is some type of seizure phenomena

tied to the refresh rate of the computer. A computer actually

flickers around 60-70 times a second. This may be similar to the

disorientation people experience with florescent lights. I turned the

brightness down on the screen and this problem passed.

My reply would be " can you please test me for the co-infections of babesia

and ehrlichia thru Igenex labs (www.igenex.com) and while you are drawing

blood, test me for bartonella, mycoplasma fermentan and HHV-6 thru MD Labs in

Mt. Laurel N J?? (www.mdlab.com). " THAT is where I would start.

Unfortunately, this is NOT true...I have quite a # of people writing me from

NC, my mom and dad (live separately) BOTH have chronic lyme, so does my

step-mom...ALL live in NC.

YES to #1 and A CURE. I DO believe it will happen and it is going to be ALOT

sooner than you all think.

Bipolar is just a part of lyme disease......Please write me privately and

tell me what you are taking....what co-infections, if any....

You can change the rate of your monitor's refreshing

by:

going to:

control panel

Display

settings

advanced

monitor

change the refresh rate I think the default is 60 mz

click ok

click apply.

This may help some of you.

Thank you Darcie. I forgot to mention that. Unfortunately i have an

OLD computer and it wouldn't refresh past 72. It would probably work

if you could go up to around 80. In case anyone can't then darkening

it will probably help like I did.

Dear Friends,

I found that I had to adjust the contrast on all my screen features (borders,

window backgrounds, windows applications, scrollbars, etc) to keep from being

severely affected. No one else could use my screens at work. I used a dark

purple and deep rose, which absorbed a lot of the light flicker.

Other good colors might be greens, deep blues, etc., depending on your eyes. You

can save this setup so that each family member can have their own unique

setting. This is also done in the Control Panel. I forget just where, but check

it out. It really does help save your eyes, and reduce the flicker sensation,

eyestrain, and propensity to seizure (or preseizure) activity.

I worked long, long hours as a tech writer, using TWO computer screens...staring

at both nonstop all day long. One was for my documentation and online Help

system that I was writing, and the other was for the application I was testing

and writing about. Very intense work, and the programmers were changing the

programs daily...even after I'd already completed documentation on that portion.

It was the heavy use of the computer that I thought had caused my eye problems

(having to use prisms in my lenses to keep my eyes centered vertically and

horizontally) and initially causing the seizure activity...before my Lyme

diagnosis. I literally had to get out of my office for about five minutes each

hour, get some bright sunshine, and look far out into the distance before I

could look at the computer again.
