Guest guest
I can see how Arava would help a person to lose weight. Yikes. I could tolerate it more when I was only taking 10 mg but when the rheumy upped it to 20 mg...that is way too strong for me. I didn't have site reaction with enbrel.....but with the humira. The humira was already mixed and something in the mix ingredients caused a burning reaction on my upper leg. It caused me to end up with a decubitus ulcer on the top of my thigh. It felt like the burn that I got injecting the humira lasted for 2 weeks. The burning sensation just never left. The enbrel did not do that to me at all.... I am leaning towards the enbrel that I mix myself....that didn't cause me a problem at all but mouth sores and I tend to think that those were because of problems I had with my mouth/teeth. I have gotten extractions and my mouth is healthier now. I felt the enbrel helped my arthritis almost instantly. But I will talk to Dr V and see what he suggests. I know he told me that the Rituxan is given the first infusion and then 2 weeks later and then not another until 8 months later. Heaven! I'll make sure if this is the treatment that the infusion goes slowly and that they make sure I am full of benadryl or clariten since I've had allergic reactions before on other meds. Thanks for the idea about taking gatorade and water. I will make sure to jot down all the good info if we go the rituxan route. Thanks again... hugs...a
