Guest guest
Hi guys, ' eye is better (no longer swollen, closed, or weeping) on the new antibiotic and the swelling is down a little on the foot, but the infection is still there. He seemed more fatigued yesterday than any other day he's been in. They didn't get to complete the MRI - will do it again. They have mentioned the possibility of cutting out the infection and doing a skin graft. Don't know yet. Our wonderful (yeah, right) insurance company, First Health (aka False Hope) wanted him out of the hospital, but the main doctor on the case refused saying his case was way too complicated and it would be dangerous to send him home. They have put together a team of 3 doctors only to determine what to do next. He has apparently developed an allergy to penicillin-type antibiotics - something that he has not experienced before while hospitalized.
