, I am SO intersted in hearing more about this! Did you see it

at CAPPSkids? I looked on the site a little and I couldn't find it

but I don't really know where to look. I would gladly buy cases of

them to increase awareness!

  • 1 year later...

My name is . I'm 20 years old and I was diagnosed with RA

last year. I'm an art student and I have recently been working on a

group project in my jewelry/metalsmithing class involving awareness

jewelry. I would like to create an awareness piece for RA, and I was

wondering if anyone had any suggestions.

There is only one RA bracelet that was created (that I have come

across), and was designed horribly for a person with RA. I would

like to create something that is magnetic and doesn't involve a

clasp of any sort. That way, it would be easy to put on. Also, I

would like to create some sort of necklace/jewelry piece that wasn't

a bracelet. I figure that it could take away from the hands and

feet (where most joint deformity is visible).

If this project is successful, I will create the jewelry design in

mass amounts to sell. The profit will then go to furthering RA

technology.

I know that some awareness jewelry is pretty cheesy. However, some

designs have been extremely successful and profitable. I would

really like to create something beautiful that anyone could wear.

Also, this piece could be made out of anything.

If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them.
