Boy, nasty post.

The same symptom list you show for Lyme Disease can be

used for CFS/CFIDS also. Most CFS/CFIDS doctors know

that *something* caused the immune system to be

dysfunctional.....sometimes it is Lyme, sometimes it is

multiple chemical sensitivities, sometimes who knows?

My point is that I have had Lyme Disease so long that I

don't know if my immune system will *ever* recover even

with extended abx usage...it hasn't yet.

My CFS/CFIDS was *caused* by Lyme Disease but that

doesn't mean it will go away if my Lyme Disease is

eradicated.

Not for nothing but this list looks like it was taken right off a Lyme

Disease list. Possibly Dr B's web page?

two names for the same illness? just shows you how confused the medical

establishment is they can't even come together on one name. Will never make

sense to me... personally i think CFS and Lyme and maybe a few others are all

ONE disease with varying degree's..

Ewwwww, even more confusing to me is the symptoms you

listed below (3, 11, 31...) can also be associated

with FMS. Which of course most of the time goes hand

in hand with CFS. However, when my Lyme was in full

effect, I did not experience anything but mind numbing

tiredness and pain. My memory and stuff were

fine...then. Now....I forget just about everthing.

Reading on, it looks like the lists combines the two

disorders...face twitching, joint pain, Bells Palsey

sound like Lyme, and the ones listed below sound more

like CFS.

I belive they are moving toward the acroynm of CFIDS.

this is because this acroynm better describes the

disorder: Chronic Fatigue & Immune dysfunction

syndrome, as opposed to just Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

What I think is that Lyme causes us ( some) to have FMS, CFS, MS, ALS and

etc. Like me, I have Lyme which causes my FMS and MS. But I dont consider

myself as having FMS and MS. Does that make sense?

I also feel that most FMS cases are trash basket cases, ie: the Drs do

not know what to dx, so they dx FMS. Most people with any chronic medical

condition will have the 'FMS trigger points'. All those are, are

Accupuncture Meridians. When I flare, my Iliac crest ones hurt so bad that I

could scream when the Dr touches them, of course I cry LOL I am SUCH a baby

*-)
