Most CFS/CFIDS doctors know that *something* caused the immune system to be dysfunctional.....sometimes it is Lyme, sometimes it is multiple chemical sensitivities, sometimes who knows? My point is that I have had Lyme Disease so long that I don't know if my immune system will *ever* recover even with extended abx usage...it hasn't yet. Which of course most of the time goes hand in hand with CFS. However, when my Lyme was in full effect, I did not experience anything but mind numbing tiredness and pain. My memory and stuff were fine...then. Now....I forget just about everthing. Reading on, it looks like the lists combines the two disorders...face twitching, joint pain, Bells Palsey sound like Lyme, and the ones listed below sound more like CFS. Guest guest Posted April 3, 2002 Report Share Posted April 3, 2002 What I think is that Lyme causes us ( some) to have FMS, CFS, MS, ALS and etc. Like me, I have Lyme which causes my FMS and MS. But I dont consider myself as having FMS and MS. Does that make sense? I also feel that most FMS cases are trash basket cases, ie: the Drs do not know what to dx, so they dx FMS. Most people with any chronic medical condition will have the 'FMS trigger points'. All those are, are Accupuncture Meridians.
