RA is so variable that I don’t think

anything is really “normal” for RA. Any single symptom will

likely be shared by many of us but not shared by many others. What you

are describing could easily be RA or a close relative. I do think of

Palindromic Arthritis as moving from place to place instead of settling in a

single joint. I think the treatment is the same as RA and the treatment

is what will make you better, the diagnosis doesn’t help except in

selecting the treatment. God bless.

Inflamation

Hello Everyone,

I have been having alot of trouble with inflamation in my joint's

around my wrist first and into my forearm and now that seems to have

slowed and now in has started around the top of my elbow. I just have

had all this start as it use to be only my ankles and knees. I was

wondering is this normal of RA, I have tried to look this up on the

internet but it doesn't seem to work so well.

Hi Tara, I have had to have the rotation joint in my right elbow removed and I am going for a nerve study on Wed. because my doc thinks that I have nerve damage in my elbow due to all the bone spurs and everthing in my elbow, so I would say that it is normal for it to be in your elbow.tara2012001 <cara1029@...> wrote: Hello Everyone,I have been having alot of trouble with inflamation in my joint's around my wrist first and into my forearm and now that seems to have

Hi Carol, I'm not a rheumy, but it sounds like normal RA to me. My RA started in my jaw, left hand & left wrist but sometimes other joints hurt as well. You should talk to your doctor. Thank You for responding, I saw a nuerologist and he had me take the blood test and he is suppose to call me this week. He talked to me about ra and says it is very common in my age group and so on. I have carpal tunnel syndrome, he found it doing the nerve conduction test, he says he can't explain the swelling going up my arm as it has. I now feel a sharp pain in my neck and down into my shoulder, I am really thinking ra is a great (for lack of a better word...lol) possibility.

Thanks Harold for your response.

talk to you soon.

Have a good week

Carol

Oh my gosh...the jaw....I thought I had a toothache for days and couldnt figure out which tooth it was.. poked at everyone of them and realized that when i put pressure on a certain spot on my jaw and it kind of eased up. The pain was awful...when i went to the doc he said yup its the RA I was shocked I didnt think it could get there. Gave me a cortisone shot and all better. Had it happen one other time and knew right away what is was so got that cortisone shot again....I would rather go through labor then have that pain again...what a way to start with RA pain. Sorry if I shound like I'm rambling but I'm finally getting people who have experienced the same as me. I guess it is exciting me ..sad isnt it your friend in michigan ... I've had awful jaw pain too. I'll take anything over that. Even though it was RA I've found that paying attention to my stress level and whether I am clenching my teeth helps me. If I start to get jaw pain I treat it right away with prednisone and stress reduction, because I know how bad it can get if I don't go on the defensive!

I don't say anything. I tell people about VCO if they are interested, and I

let the rest go.
