I’m not very computer knowledgeable

but it sounds more like some kind of software problem instead of a hardware

problem. There are free programs for virus protection and firewalls but I use

McAfee and pay for it. Here’s a link to the McAfee site where they offer

free virus scans. These try to sell you a product but I believe that doing the

scan is safe and free. You should have both an antivirus and a firewall

program for any PC. I hope someone who knows computers will offer better suggestions.

aaaaaaaaaaaa Unreliable computer has packed up again!

Hi all,

So annoyed. My computer has packed up again for about the 5th time in 2 years.

I need it desperately to start my OU course next month. I am stuffed unless the

Disabled student allowance people will agree to buy me another one. Big pain.

The reason why they didn't before was because I told them it was only 2 years

old.
