Guest guest
I am a 50year old male from Cape Cod Massachusetts. I have had Lyme Disease for over 7 1/2 years but just been properly diagnosed 1 1/2 years ago. I am currently on intravenous(ceftryaxone/spelling??) and according to the doctor in all probability will be for another 18months at least. I have been maried to the same wonderful woman for over 27 years and we have a son who is 17 years old. I am very anxious to hear from you and share some of our " ups and downs " relating to this life altering disease.
Guest guest
Welcome RWSylver from Cape Cod, I am so sorry you are suffering from LD for such a long time before diagnosis. I am only going on 4 years but it seems like forever, yet I was dx'd right away, but received improper treatment. You are so fortunate to be on IV meds and for such a long time, as I firmly believe this is the only thing that will help us at this point. You are lucky too that your physician will rx the IV for such a long length of time, will your insurance pay it? I am in NJ, and have not been able to get more that 30 days of IV recently before my insurer cut me off. I am stuck as far as appealing as my LLMD will not send them information regarding my need for this treatment since I am testing negative on all manner of Lyme testing right now. I have not been able to work since Oct 96 and am currently on SSDI and private disability. I am fortunate too to have a loving and caring and most of all supportive spouse, this sure makes a big difference in our daily living, many on this list are not as fortunate. I hope you will continue to post and I welcome you to our supportive group. Marta (female age 50-NJ) From: rwsylver@... <rwsylver@...> >I am a 50year old male from Cape Cod Massachusetts.
