Guest guest
Funny you should bring this up...I was attuned to Reiki Level One two weeks ago...lol. I do it on myself daily now. I plan to go to level two after a few months. When I had my first treatment I was quite impressed how intuitive the gal was. (long story). Anyways, I believe it helps, but don't think it's a cure, but complimentary. [ ] Has any one tried Energy Healing? >Hi First time here Has any one tried energy healing with gem stones >or crystals. Guest guest
Yes, recently tried reike. In fact, felt so great after a treatment, I decided to begin studying. The day after, my mother told me how great I looked, my color with no makeup was great. I couldn't tell her about reike because she's a born again and would say something weird about it. Anyway, I think it does have a positive effect. Renie
Guest guest
Dear Renie, So glad you tried Reiki & found it helpful! Curious as to how long it takes to learn this? (I learned something very similar to " Therapeutic Touch " many years ago... Seems to come quite naturally...) There are different degrees too, aren't there? I see ads all the time for Reiki Level I - but it's only a 1-day course - seems it takes a bit longer to learn... Good luck in your studies! VBG! Blessings! Generally you can get level one training from most places in a weekend - I was always skeptical about it, too - like all these people were being liscense and let loose after less than 24h - but my mom's course was excellent, and there are actually many hours you have to practice on your own before they let you take level 2. both level 1 & 2 seem to be very afforadable, but there's this cliquey-thing about level three - costs often thousands of dollars. if interested, my mom swears by Diane Stein's Reiki book - Essential Reiki. Stein snubs the secrecy concept of the reiki clique and teaches everything she knows - which you dont' find very often - and in fact, many teachers (who charge you lots to tell you the samethigns she's published) don't like her - for that very reason. That's waht I know. If you're interested, I " m sure my mom can tell you more - take care, beth
Guest guest
this sounds like the one I just went to. It was two days, about seven hours each day and learned lots. Plus, they do work on you which supposedly opens up the Chakras and enables you to become a " channel " for the energy. Have been doing it on myself and hubby for the last couple weeks now. They told me I have to wait about three months before I go to level Two. I'm on a Reiki mailing list now where they actually do the attunemetns, or initiations long distance, (for free) but you have to participate and do the quizzes, practice, etc.. They also go by the teachings of Dian Stein. I might do that if I want to get to level three, LOL. Can't afford a thousand bucks...lol. Trying to learn about the Chakras right now and how it relates to Reiki, also want to include armoatherapy with it too. Right now I'm overwhelmed!! Guest guest
I started by attending a Reiki circle as a guest and observed a few times. This was where people of various levels had a chance to practice. Then I took the one day class and was attuned for Reiki 1. Now I'm supposed to practice as much as possible and in October I will take Reiki 2. If you have a good teacher, it's really good.
