When I think of me, and how I must look. If you were to look at me you would think nothing was wrong with me. I wish there was way to make people understand if once I go in to the store do my shopping by the time I get home unload my grocerys put them away. I am beat. That is all I can accomplish on that day. Being able to park at little closer to the door just gives me that little bit more that I can do for that day. If it makes a difference at all. Hi,

I have RA, but from far away and actually close up you would not be

able to tell! I have handicap parking. I have had people ask me

why! So rude!-I hate when I need to go somewhere but can not get

parking. i wish the police would be more aware that this is such a

problem in the US!

Hi ,

Invisible disability can sometimes be the worst. I feel very vulnerable without my walking aids. I'm not using them as an "emotional crutch" as PF my cpn says but they are a great help when feeling so physically rough. I know what you mean about fatigue though. I'm glad you're able to park in disabled spaces so you are nearer to the door.

Hiya,

Agreed. I think that with this illness most of it is invisible and people do not realize that. Just coz we look normal doesn't mean to say we don't have problems. People shouldn't judge without first realizing that just coz someone's not in a wheelchair doesn't mean to say they're not disabled.

Speaking of invisible disability reminded

and this website offers a great tee shirt: Sick and Tired of Being Sick

co=workers now know not to ask me how I feel, when I am wearing that

tee! gentle hugs! Marcia

I also have a disabled parking tag - I try only to use it on really bad days or if it's icy/snowy. Usually if I'm feeling ok going into a store - I'm usually limping on the way out. Toes ache all the time right now and one of the joints in the ball of my foot (corresponding to my 'ringfinger' toe) swells up and causes my foot to go off center. That's mostly in my left foot but I've notice that the right foot, same joint, is starting to do it too. :( I'm overweight too and people just assume you have the tag because of that. Stooooopid people. Helen <angelac71@...> wrote: When I think of me, and how I must look. If you were to look at me you would think nothing was wrong with me.
