Guest guest
I am not familiar with cafiaspirin. I am thinking it may be a tablet containing both aspirin and caffeine? Prolonged use of aspirin is very hard on the digestive system. I have not heard of it being directly related to candida. Jan > > > Hi everybody. I am Claudio Acuña from Buenos Aires Argentina. I feel relief from the fatigue within 30 minutes. This is interesting, but doesn't aspirin irritate the gut? I've got a leaky gut, and don't want to take anything that might make it worse. Guest guest
Pepi: I don't know about aspirin but I have noticed when on bicillin shots that I bleed some after each injection. It does clot though but I think all these med's help thin out our blood. Just my uneducated guess. Also, hope your eating potatoe chips before and after your flagyl. This makes a big difference in nausea and tummy problems. Dr. H. is the promoter of this. Hang in there, it does get better. Guest guest
No, it wasn't that, it was about effectiveness in heart disease for women - not about cancer or how many women take it. I am not sure I am gonna be able to find the exact article I read, but I did some research anyway. This is about the study I'd read about, although not the same article - it says that the prevention of a first heart attack is much lower for women. http://www.news.harvard.edu/gazette/1997/05.08/WomenAdvisedAbo.html This one says there is not enough data for women: http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0815/is_1_29/ai_111767714 This is only about strokes, but since women are at higher risk for strokes vs, heart attack than men, it is relevant. http://stroke.ahajournals.org/cgi/content/full/30/9/1764 While I was researching, I also found reference that women may have more ischemic strokes which can be made worse by aspirin than regular strokes or heart attacks, that could be prevented by aspirin - but these weren't studies, just doctors' observations that women are more likely than men to have them and that aspirin makes them worse. So speculation only. Anyway, if I were worrying about heart disease right now, I probably wouldn't stop taking it but I would *not* rely just on it either. Guest guest
Aspirin is OK as long as not used for fever, but anti-inflammatory use is ok. > > > > > > > Does any one know if aspirin is safe for our children? For a long time I used some that my dad brought from Canada, it has a very low dose of codeine and some caffeine. I was using that before I was dx'd when I'd wake up feeling like I'd been hit by a truck and didn't know why. A dose of that would at least get me thru the day. Then I switched to Bufferin after I was dx'd and I really like that, I use it together with hydrocodone and I'm hoping I can still use it occassionally. Ibuprofen and others like it don't do a thing for me, there's a kick to aspirin that those don't seem to have. Of course, they're kind of a kick in the stomach, too
Guest guest
Hey , I'd like to know more about your success with aspirin - I take four ibuprofen every morning to just to be able to function, and my finger joints still hurt. If Bufferin would do more for the pain, I'd like to know. I guess there are ways to mitigate the stomach issues, such as taking with food, etc. Seeing a Rheumatologist for the first time July 5th. best, Leon > > > Hi , > > > > It sounds as if by " aspirin " you may mean ibuprofen (advil, motrin) > > since they're NSAIDs and true aspirin is not. > > > > I'd like to know for sure. > > > > thanks, Leon > > No, I was using aspirin. Guest guest
I took a daily low-dose aspirin for several years, but discontinued it when I personally found it was strongly contributing to acid reflux. --Bruce
Guest guest
I've taken one 325-mg pill daily at night (sudden death from MI most commonly occurring in the wee hours of the morning) without ill effect for twenty years, long may it so continue.
