There are homeopathics which work wonders, but my only experience is with arnica - don't know if her symptoms match those for arnica, though. Guest guest
Hi there... I had a lateral release, and some other things done on my left knee in May. I also had a lateral release and some other things done on my right knee, on Nov 21st (this past week) It took me almost 6 months to have no pain from the left one. Right now I am in severe pain, considering I am only 4 days post op. I cant tell you about the knee cap pain. I can tell you that I had that in my right knww prior to surgery. I would be very worried about the sharp pain, but as for the other pain. It will get better.. the key is to get that vastus medialis muscle strengthened. If you do not do that.. then it will not feel any better.. It took me 6 months to get mine where it should be ( could even be better) but I am very happy with my OS, he answers questions, and gives me the time I need. If I did not feel any better from the first surgery I surely would not have had the second one done. If you need more advice let me know.

AJ
Guest guest
Where was your injection administered? Back when I was taking depo-testosterone injections I was given one in the arm. I couldn't sleep for 4 days and my arm drew up against my chest, couldn't move it or even let anyone touch it. Some of the worse pain I have ever felt, but it did subside after about the 4th day. I never found out what caused it but I never allowed them to inject my arm ever again. My only guess is that a nerve was damaged. I definitely feel for your pain though. Hope it goes away soon for you. Pushing or jabbing the needle in is fine but,a slow release is best Ken. http://www.sold.com.au - SOLD.com.au - Find yourself a bargain! Guest guest
The following was a quote that I found regarding sustanon. found it on AnabolicStore.com " This however is still a Testosterone and, as with all Testosterone products, androgenic side effects are unavoidable. It should also be noted that Propionate is often a very painful injection. Users very regularly report swelling and noticeable pain for days. Guest guest
Hi , Many here have posted on DLPA (DL-Phenylalanine) for this, a supplement that you can buy in health food stores and online at supplement houses. I made sure I was off the codeine for awhile before starting the LDN. I would hate to take a step back. Guest guest
Hi Barbara, I agree that a chiropractor would be a good option to try. I recently had whip lash and seeing my chiropractor was incredibly helpful.
Guest guest
lol -- Sorry it's not funny, is it? I've always noticed that I feel a sharp pain or something down the nerve from an actual pain site or nerve stimulus. Not always but sometimes. I assumed everyone did that until I asked my husband and he thought I was crazy No explanations, just observations.
Guest guest
Barbara, Sounds like he might have put his neck out (like a small whip lash) or pulled a muscle at the same time he sprained his ankle. Ask any chiropractor. Keep ice and heat on it. I wanted to laugh when I read this, because crazy things can happen. I had an incident once, where my husband and I were taking a driving and going down a hill on a country road, with our windows down, when a semi passed us. My neck hurt so bad after that, so I went to the chiropractor and sure enough I had a whiplash. Wow, what its like getting old! Guest guest
Any pain I have had has been limited to my feet, and that pain feels like my feet are burning - or on fire. I have had that off and on since childhood. Just changed shoes and socks alot, and into adulthood I began taking Elavil (Amitriptyline) which has helped. I also have used lotions kept in the refridgerator, Biofreeze, and ice packs. More recently, maybe 7 years or so ago, I had some electrical like 'sizzles' shoot up my left arm and back to my fingertips, while at rest. So again, I put that in the 'burning'' category. For 1 year, while Neurontin (Gabapentin) was still being used for off label purposes, I took that and it helped so much. Once I stopped that medication, the 'arm sizzles' have completely vanished. As for muscle pain, in high school, my muscles would contract and be stiff. I had physical therapy, plus potassium supplements, and then, after sleeping for 8-9 hours, no pain, muscles would be completely relaxed. I no longer get contractures or have problems with muscle cramping/pain. ~ Gretchen
Guest guest
Antibiotic Therapy - Road Back Foundation http://www.roadback.org The above site advocates antibiotic treatment for RA and as an advocacy site it does tend to go overboard about what is good about antibiotics and what is bad with other treatments. I haven’t tried antibiotics myself but many people claim good success with them. There have not been many carefully done clinical trials with antibiotics and the ones I have seen say they are probably less effective than other medications for most people but for some people they are the only thing that works. I’m surprised a doctor who treats RA is not aware of antibiotic therapy. You might not be seeing a rheumatologist (specialist in arthritis) and few other doctors are really qualified to diagnose or treat RA. Also with your doctor apparently not being acquainted with antibiotic therapy you may want a second opinion even if you are currently seeing a rheumatologist. God bless. I am at my witts end. I dont know what else to do. I wish the pain meds would work. I cant imagine what other kind of meds my doc could put me on. Guest guest
I don’t have fibromyalgia but some of what you describe sounds like that’s what it might be. Some doctors don’t really believe that fibromyalgia is a real disease but others prescribe some medication for it that seems to work for some people. The name Flexeril comes to mind for a medication for fibromyalgia but I’m not sure. Please call your doctor to let him/her know that you need something changed. Another thing that comes to mind is that there are some diseases that can be misdiagnosed as RA but need different medications. This includes some thyroid problems and Lyme disease, and probably a lot of others. You might check with both your rheumatologist and GP to see if you have been tested for things like that. You are on even more medications than I am so it might be something other than RA. One thing that is often done is to use Prednisone for temporary relief and diagnostic information. It is a strong anti-inflammatory that usually helps a lot with the symptoms of RA but does little to slow down permanent joint damage. It also has some bad side effects so you only want to stay on it long enough to permit you to function as needed. Also after taking it for a while you need to taper off instead of quitting suddenly. I’m not medically trained but I have read message boards for a few years so I have a lot of anecdotal information and I also search the internet often for answers to questions. I hope you and your doctor can find something to help you. God bless. Guest guest
Hon I find having a hobby of some sort that takes your mind away from the pain helps me immensly. I am lucky enough to have an embroidery machine and I do sewing for charity. Right now I am involved in making " paper " cloth dolls for children of disaster, mostly we are still working for the Katrina victims and listening to books on tape while the machine is sewing. And I do a lot of praying and talking to my birds, anything to take my mind off what my body is going through. Otherwise I would have checked out of this world a long time ago. Physically I can't do a lot. The sewing doesn't require a lot of physical movement and lets me still feel useful and that helps me mentally deal with it. Ila in Maine mailto:sewcraftyila@...
