Guest guest
Hi friend, Please join us for our Lyme Talk, Saturday evening and don't forget our regular talk on Wednesdays with Lobes. josh PS: There's a special message following our day, time schedule, I'd really like you to read. http://www.lymediseaseaudio.com/hearme.htm OUR REGULAR SCHEDULE: **** Lyme Talk, Wednesdays 8 PM Eastern, 7 PM Central, 6 PM Mountain, 5 PM Pacific and **** Lyme Talk, Saturdays 8 PM Eastern, 7 PM Central, 6 PM Mountain, 5 PM Pacific Subject: [ ] Valentine's Day Mail Blitz to President Bush " Have a Heart, Mr. President " I am asking each household with Lyme to mail a postcard or note to the White House between February 1 and 10, 2001. We need a simple inexpensive census of people with Lyme, especially chronic Lyme. Don't bother to write a long letter or medical history. They total the pieces of mail in a particular category. Put a green heart on the outside of the envelope or write Lyme in large letters. Make it simple for the mail sorters. Please notify anyone you know who has been bitten, even if they are currently well. Phone those who have no computer. Contact any media people and inform them that this is a nationwide campaign. Try to generate a local story. Reasons for the campaign are: 1. Underreported numbers of cases 2. Constant misdiagnosis 3. Discrimination by insurance companies 4. Harassment of physicians who treat Lyme patients Sample note (copy if you like) Dear President Bush: Countless numbers of Americans are being stricken by the debilitating illness, Lyme disease, yet, there is very little being done to insure that those who are infected with it, get the proper diagnosis and treatment. As a result, there are potentially millions of people who may have this illness and are being wrongly told they are suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, fibromyalgia, MS, Lupus, or ALS. To make matters worse, those who have been identified as suffering from the illness are not getting the antibiotic treatment they need, simply because the insurance industry doesn't want to pay for the treatments. Instead, the insurance companies appeal to their hired " pseudo " experts who tell the infected patients they no longer have Lyme disease. This occurs, despite the fact that many of these patients still test positive for the infection. Please help all of us get the care we desperately need. Put the number of household members with Lyme, your name and state. Ask the " Lyme Kids " to make him a green Valentine, including their age and how long they've been sick. We need a " LANDSLIDE FOR LYME. " Please post this everywhere. President W. Bush 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue Washington, D.C. 20500 Thank you all for your co-operation.
