However, this board does get quiet occasionally and then comes back to life sort of on its own. God bless. Guest guest Posted September 1, 2006 Report Share Posted September 1, 2006 been depressed... got denied disability - talked to lawyer - if doc can't convince ssa that I was unable to work between 2003 and 2005 - the I'm out of luck. (As of the end of 2005 - I had worked the 5 out of 10 years which would still qualify me for disability - at 2006 - it puts me at 4 out of 10 - which disqualifies me. I get some workers comp from when my husband died so that disqualifies me for ssi). Also, because I didn't work much since '99 (did about 12 weeks in 2003 when the ra was starting), I'm also getting screwed in regards to getting placed in a job. So I'm screwed all the way around. I'll have to work 4 - 5 years to be considered again I can't stand or walk for very long - that means no cashiering, fast food. Can't lift very much - 10 lbs is about all I can do - and even that hurts. Writing hurts like hell with this carpel tunnel issue. Going to try and improve writing with right hand - it tingles and is weak and can only close about halfway but it doesn't ache as much as the left. I can't live on the workers comp, having trouble getting a job, bf doesn't make enough to cover the bills I can't cover with wc....... he and I are fighting - he's got some issues that I can't even talk to him about because he doesn't think he has them. I haven't gotten any emails and when I joined this past week I posted some info about me and I have never seen the post. I will repost who I am. This is the first email I have gotten since joining.
