Guest guest
Client of mine had a son who received DPT and is now of course experiencing a vaccine reaction. He is about 5 (?) and his arm is totally swollen... My question is: I know sometimes reactions to DPT (the Pertussis part) can produce symptoms of Pertussis but is a child experiencing a vaccine reaction possibly contagious to other children or babies who have or have not recieved the DPT? Simply, is he infectious to others and should young babies be kept away from him? Will see them tomorrow in a setting where there will be other babies present. If I need to cancel, I need to cancel soon, but would rather not as the mom really needs my consultation services for some acute breastfeeding issues.... I read " a shot in the dark " but didn't find the answer to my question. Please let me know ASAP if you've got any wisdom to offer! : ) Thanks!
