Guest guest
Bueno saludos y suerte! Guest guest
It sure is! I've been converted to Windows Vista and it's handling of this span isn't as good as NT Pro was. I can 'block the sender' but the stuff still comes through - just goes to my Junk folder. Drives me crazy. Before I could block it and that was the end of it.... Oh well, the joys of technology - both mine and the spammer's... Kate Re: hola Good Heavens! Is it possible to monitor this list for spam? Guest guest
I'm not getting any of spam you all are talking about. I will have to go out to the group site and actually find the posts and then block the senders. My ISP has a pretty good spam blocker so I don't see a lot of the junk and then my inbox also has a spam blocker. I'll go out tonight and start removing the offenders. Guest guest
OK, I have removed both of the recent spammers from the list and removed their posts off the group site as well. The same email over and over again. Don't these folks have something BETTER to do with their time? Sheesh. Anyway, all fixed now. Guest guest
If I remember correctly, a few months ago we were notified that we had been added (our group) to a list (of spammers...).... Might be worth going back to see. I deleted the original. Kate RE: hola I'm not getting any of spam you all are talking about. Guest guest
I have contacted the LIST owner and asked him to change my moderation settings so I can change the group settings. I only have HALF the priviliages of the owner. I can remove and ban the spammers but I can't change the actual group settings. [which would be to change the settings so that all new members who join are under moderation . THis way I can tell who is a spammer and who is not. If they spam, then they are immediately removed and their offending posts never make it to the list or your inbox. I'll let you know if and when I hear back from the owner. Guest guest
In my one group, I just have the messages moderated, not the members. I suppose it doesn't matter which way you do it. Guess I just like it when they take the time to join then they find out their messages aren't being posted. psalmon1958 <psalmon@...> wrote: I have contacted the LIST owner and asked him to change my moderation settings so I can change the group settings.
