Guest guest
Don't let this go. Even if you have test and they come up neg. he has all systoms, remember there are co-infections, it sounds like he has one of these. Someone smarter than I am sure they will state something about it. PLease don't let this Go. The doctor is not wise. I live in GA too. Trenton, GA I live 2 hours away. The faster he gets treatment, I mean good treatment, the better the recovery rate. I know men can be stubborn. I don't know how lyme effects men, someone will know. What I do know is that, it started out slow, a once a month thing, then it progressed to a every 2 weeks thing, then finally it was everyday, but this lasted for 6 years. Dont be stubborn and don't let him be stubborn. GET HIM TO A DOCTOR. Love

I had a fever and chills and felt like i had the flu. Glands were swollen and legs swelled up so bad i could barely walk from bedroom to bathroom and could not put a closed shoe on for two months! I was positive it was lyme. I had testing done and told the test was negative and i did not have lyme (back in 1992 before anybody knew any better.. now we all know the test for the first few weeks will be negative as it takes a few weeks for your body to produce enough antibodies to make the test turn positive. So a negative test right away does not mean you do not have lyme. In the early weeks you go by the clinical picture (symptoms present). Of course seeing and removing a tick should raise suspician to over 90%, and if you get a rash right away, suspician goes to 100%, ANd dont forget co-infections.... two are common right now... Babesia and Erhliciosis, and a third is also being suspected now... but has not been named. Cause my original test was negative, they refused to treat me as a lyme patient and tyold me it was something else, and i was treated for that for EIGHT YEARS. ANd this other condition required frequent treatment with prednisone for the severe joint swelling. Over time i got sicker and sicker everytime i used the prednisone. Finally in 1999 (got sick in 1992) it was discovered that i was positive lyme infected all these years!! Everytime i went on the prednisone, my immune system was surpressed and the lyme grew like hot cakes insdie me...which was why i was getting sicker and sicker. Moral of the story... if you saw the tick, pulled it out and then started with lyme symptoms... YOU MUST start on aggrrresive lyme treatment with antibiotics immediately. Caught right away you can knock it right out before it gets a foot hold in your body. If you wait and it gets all over insdie you, then it is hell to kill, and almost impossible to kill off easily. Find a good doctor and start the right treatment RIGHT AWAY. Dr. Skip
