Guest guest
After three weeks of waiting on approval from my insurance I'm finally able to get onto Humira! I'm very happy as I can't wait to get off the 10mg of prednisone that I've been having to take for the past month. I think I've gained almost 10lbs, and I'm moody. Once I get on the Humira she's hoping I respond positvely and we can start weening off the steroid. Anything advice/suggestions regarding the Humira? Thanks
Guest guest
Sorry to say this is not true:-( It is the drug itself, the high acidity content. I know a Doctor who worked for Abbott on the drug and he said that he thought this would be a problem because it is very painful for people but I guess they couldn't change it and the benefits outweighed the pain so the drug got approved that way. > > > > > > After three weeks of waiting on approval from my insurance I'm > finally > > > able to get onto Humira! Guest guest
Some people say they wake up the next day almost completely pain free. But with my wife it took about 3 weeks to really fully kick in. Her range of motion in her arms gradually got better and better. Now she has pretty much normal movement. Good luck, Don & Eileen i_live_in_slippers wrote: Thanks!! :)My first shipment is supposed to arrive Tuesday morning, I can't wait, I've been waiting 3 weeks for approval and am just ready to get started to see if I can get some relief on it. I've been on Humira for months now. I have no burning sensation just discomfort while injecting it. I go real slow. I do believe that a trip to the dentist and normal flu shots rank a LOT higher on the overall pain meter. The more relaxed you can be the better! Good Luck!
