Guest guest
Sunnie, your e mail is perfect for you as your attitude is so good with a plate fuller than a platter. I started out similar to you, and visiting d various Drs. they put me in various meds which did help the pain. Although prednisone seems to be a reliever of many things, if taken over long period of time is very damaging to the body. I wonder if your Dr. might put you on it since you are not getting relief from Vioxx. Vioxx is more expensive than prednisone. Drs. are funny and don't want us to tell them how to treat us, you might explain again to him that you would like to try something else (colchicin is a good starter if not prednisone) Just ask him, he is a GP in the area and assume he is general medicine and should know. My heart goes out to you. My husband had surg. and chemo for colon cancer and doing fine. You have a Sunnie attitude and that will get you, your husband and daughter through. God Bless and many Sunnie days ahead. Betty
Guest guest
Betty. Thanks so much. I am wondering. Did your hubby get chemo/radiation after his colon cancer surgery or just the chemo. Maybe his was not as bad as my husbands was. He waited to long thinking he only had a bleeding hemeroid so it had grown though the wall which is not good. They told us 6 years ago that there was no sign of cancer in his limph nodes and after 5 years gave him a clean bill of health. A year after that his primary doctor decided he should get an xray and he had 3 tumors in his lung. If they had been all in one place it could have been cut out or if all on one side could have taken a lung out but he had it on both sides with one a huge one. His oncologist never told us to get xrays. Just said you are cured. When he went to see the oncologist to start treatment the oncologist acted surprised and they said they have no idea how that happened as he had no turmors in any other part of his body. Usually the liver will have cancer if it is spreading from the colon. I dont mean to scare you but only want to let you know that he should get either cat scans or xrays. After he went to the oncologist another man showed up with the same thing. No signs of tumors anywheres but in the lung. From what I understand the lung is a hard place for them to see tumors when small. Just keep an eye on things. Have him get checked every year. It is better to be informed than go through life with ones head in the sand..............dont you think? If I can help anyone from having this happen to them then I will do it whether people want it done or not. I only wish we had been told what the chance of this happening could be. I would rather have been told that it could reacur than to be happy for a year and then devistation. Only someone who has been told their loved one has cancer can know the fear that goes through one. I wish all your hubby the best of health and hope that all will be fine. Take care and once more thanks for the info. Guest guest
MJH, I did not know what they were, but I knew they were healthier than canola, etc. But when I tried them, her bedwetting went through the ceiling, according to 'failsafe', this is a salicalyte connection. When I stopped them, her bedwetting stopped. I wish this was simpler. But everything that's healthy--fruits, veggies, herbs, good fats--causes problems. I don't get it. Guest guest
Barb MCT are medium chain triglycerides..... another type of fat. MCTs are found in virgin coconut oil, my son does really well on about 4T per day. mjh In a message dated 4/10/2004 5:53:07 PM Eastern Daylight Time, writes: From: Barb Hunte <bhunte@...> Subject: Re: -CARNITINE Ladies, what is MCT? ***Attention *** New email address Please update your address book My new email is bhunte@... My shop is one addy, my billing is another addy and my purchase at times can also be shipped as a gift for someone else, somewhere else.
