Hi Madeleine,

I understand and hear your pain............its just that many have lost

loved ones at the WTC......and in DC..........the deaths are not from

disease........

but because they were in those buildings.

People get upset when comparisons are made to victims of the

WTC..........everyone agrees with what you are saying about labs, and Drs.,

and government.

I don't think anyone disagrees with you and is just as angry as you

are.........at how little the government wants to do to help those suffering

with lyme.

You have to remember everyone in this group, is ALIVE. Yes some functioning

less than others, some in remission, some hardly functioning at all.

We all want normal lives...........some would rather be dead...........I was

there too..........not so long ago. I'm in remission now.............and I

believe that one day..........they will find a cure for this horrible

disease........I was in that very deep black hole, where no one could help

me..............until one day I found the right Dr. and the right treatment.

I think people get offended when you compare our disease, with the deaths of

the WTC...........I visited Pier 94 in NYC with my Therapy Dog.........just

a week ago......Trying to bring a few moments of joy to so many sad people.

I saw a long corridor, with pictures of those that died. Pictures of men

and women............mostly young.............that are no longer

here............gone forever..........not dead from cancer, not dead from

lyme disease, not dead from a heart attack, not dead from cystic

fibrosis...............the list is endless.

Dead because they worked in the World Trade center.........

I have a student in my school that has cystic fibrosis.....and will

probably not live beyond his twenty's...........When I hear him coughing and

then is absent from school................I realize, his life will be

short.........and why can't they come up with a cure!!! There is a teacher

at school that just lost her husband to cancer at the age of 52........why

couldn't they save him..........they were high school sweethearts....... It

makes me angry, that more money and research isn't put into finding a cure

for cancer and all these diseases.......including lyme.

However, all the money in the world couldn't save those people in the

WTC.........all the money in the world and all the government aid and

help....won't do a bit of good to help those families get over such a tragic

loss.

Are we sick in this group? Have we been through Hell? Are we still going

through Hell? Is life not worth it at times? Have many lost jobs and are

on disability? Are we angry at the government, Drs. and all the political

crap that goes on.........YES!! We share your anger!

But every one of us is alive and has hope!........3,000 people or more don't

have hope nor do their families..........THOSE VICTIMS HAVE NOTHING TO BE

ANGRY ABOUT.....THEY HAVE NOTHING TO FIGHT FOR..............They are

gone.........gone forever.

So lets fight together..........for researchers to find a cure for lyme.
