ursodiol prevents gallstones with IV Rocephin

To the person who had concerns about the problem of gallstones with the use

of IV Rocephin --- there is a LLMD in San Francisco who is now using Actigal

(ursodiol) to prophylax against gallstones -- 300 mg twice daily. This

appears to work quite well.

It may be possible for you to continue on the Rocephin without worrying about

gallstone formation if the ursodiol is added to the regimen.
