Guest guest
Hello All, I believe I told everyone that I had to go off of the doxy after 2 months of treatment, as it wreaked havoc with my stomach. After a break of about a week to 10 days of treating tummy, I have begun a new abx. CEFTIN 500 mgs. 2 times per day with food. Off of the abx, I pretty much knew, obviously, what were Lyme symptoms. When on the doxy, I was never sure what was the doxy, what was a herx, and what was Lyme. Here's my question. After my first dose of Ceftin this morning, I am weak, tired, filled with fog, aching, miserable and depressed. Yesterday, I had a great day. Is this possible that my body would react so quickly to the abx? It feels exactly like when I took the doxy - take the pill, BOOM, like clockwork, one half to one hour later, sick like this. I just want to cry. Someone reassure me that this is possible? Normal? Typical? Something? Oh, yeah, and here's the New Year's Greeting I sent to all my friends. I think it's very Lyme Literate! LOL! HOPPY EWE NEAR!!! Living in Faith,

Guest guest
So far, it's going as well as can be expected. This first week is hard. I wish I could anwer your questions on the stomach angle, but my stomach is so messed up from 2 months of doxy that I am already on special medications for my stomach, which is still acting up. So, I can't say whether the Ceftin is hurting it - but it probably isn't helping it LOL. I am currently using samples, as I have no insurance and no medical (SSI or other) coverage at this time.
